How Was Your Day?

Recommended Posts

Recognised some guy at the gym today, only for him to threaten me as the last time I saw him apparently I'd abused him. It's been years and years (I must've only been like 12 or 13, I'm 20 now) since I've seen him, I have no idea what I said and I'm not entirely what his name is. I apologised for whatever I said, but he decided to hold a grudge and refuse to tell me whatever I said. Completely baffled. :dunno:

My advice would've been to not go, then see what's happening again at 7.30/7.45ish.

What did you end up doing?

Replying to your first part about a grudge, when your bullied at school you never forget and sometimes if your stronger and taller you want to be one with the final laugh. Best thing you can say to that guy now, is just simply apologize (even if you can't remember) and just explain i was young back then and stupid.

Oh by the way in the end never went, i didn't get a text until 10pm where one of the lads said they we're unwell and another forgot. Maybe going out tonight instead.

This isn't a bullying thing. I've apologised for whatever it was, will just ignore him if I see him again. It's not my problem, if he wants to continue to hold a grudge over something that happened so long ago when we were both kids then so be it.

I was bullied pretty badly in secondary school, it ruins your life and totally affects you as an adult, im very self concious and anxious to this day (now 25). I hate it when I run in to the people who did it at the pub etc, they say hi to me, completley oblilvious to the fact they made me terrified to go to school for 4 years. It is very hard to let go (im sure you wernt a bully btw Jon just talking on the topic). Anyway just try to forget it, we've all been wankers as kids it's just part of growing up, nothing you can do about it if he wants to hold some silly grudge.

Anyway, finally finished and passed my 8 weeks hardcore training and assessments in cardiac intensive care nursing, starting on my own in the numbers monday. It feels pretty good working somewhere so specialist that unbelievably sick people are flown in from all over the world and wouldnt stand a chance of surviving in most other hospitals. Will hopefully do my intensive care qualification with Kings College in a year or two, love it here.

Just got back from Dickinson's real deal.

Col was filmed for the TV (selling an antique watch) and had my photo taken with 'The Duke'!

Great fun actually and great that they wanted to film my watch.

Happy Days...

lol

You'll have to let us know when you're on. :D

On a related note my sister has auditioned for Bargain Hunt, we don't know if she's in yet though.

Do they come in and ask to be filmed, or just do it because of the antique?

Did you get a lot of money?

Quality though, I bet it was good.

All the lots from all the 'punters' are assessed for their saleability mate.

I had an antique Rolex watch which was judged as being an interesting lot for the programme.

So I was filmed. I accepted the offer on the day because it was in need of some work (I knew that) and didn't want to risk getting not much at auction.

Loved it and if they choose to, I'll be on the tele either late this year or early next.

I also got myself a nice photo with David Dickinson because I was pushy and asked for one!

Enjoyed it....

As for the money, that'd be telling

lol

Just heard that a family friend's son and his girlfriend died in a car accident on the A14 last night. Puts my worries into perspective - those poor parents went to bed yesterday with a son/daughter alive and well and woke up to find the whole world has changed this morning. My heart breaks for them, tragic.

Cheers boys. Didn't know the kid too well but his folks are friends with mine and by all accounts he was a top lad.

Not usually one to go putting this sort of thing out there but sometimes it's important to check yourself. I've been moping about this week becuase I've got loads of work to do but when something like this happens it reminds you that as long as you have air in your lungs and blood in your veins then you've not got much to complain about really.

Just come bike from a bike ride, stopping off at Currys in Fosse Park.

Some of the stuff they are selling makes me marvel really.

Blu-Ray DVD player with theatre surround sound on Bluetooth. No wires to any of the speakers.

Tv's that literally look like you are there at the event.

The new laptop-tablet combo's that make so much sense IMO.

A Dyson 'room heater' that somehow apparently heats an entire room from a hollow cylinder no bigger than a couple of foot high.

Where does it all stop?

Shame I'm skint....

Rapid technological advancement - the great triumph of capitalism. We really do live in an age of abundant luxury for all who are willing to take it.
