How Was Your Day?

lol, i think ive had this discussion before. Everybody loves cash in hand ;)

You fraudulently misrepresent to the tax authorities what you earn.

It's as morally wrong as benefit fraud.

Bang out of order, IMO.

did a fair bit of cash i hand when I was on the dole, but not felt any desire to do it since I've been employed. I dont begrudge any one playing system a bit be they a tradesman, some one on the dole or a CEO, aslong as they dont condemn overs for it. it's not like the government was going to spend it on anything that would do any good

I think it's only fair that I pay the same percentage of my profits in tax, as Google, Amazon, etc do on theirs.

Starbucks made £400m & paid £0 in corporation tax.

Amazon's sales in the UK for 2011 were £3.35bn.......& tax expense of £1.8m

At those rates, I could pay this years tax bill out of my pennies jar.

Starbucks didn't make £400 million profit, that was their sales number.

They didn't make any profit?  They paid zero corporation tax.

Nope, but they have agreed to make a donation until they do.

If it's anything like income tax, you don't have pay taxes twice on the same income in the UK and the US

In effect they are taking it away from the US and paying it to the UK protem
