Watched about thirteen odd hours of this over the weekend and today before work, amazing show.

Disappointed they felt the need to make an American remake but glad the original is back for a second season. Will blaze through the rest of the boxed set and start on season two on the iPlayer this week.

Best thing I've seen since Generation Kill and the Wire before that.

Last week's episodes of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Can't get enough of that program, quality.

They only show the Global edition now in the UK at about 11:30 at night on a Monday. I miss it when it was on, I dunno....daily. It's not the same. I have to record it and watch it at the end of the week. I am currently jealous of your good fortune.

Just watched a recording of Stephen Fry's Planet Word (Writers) Quite good. Talked about the Greek Classics, James Joyce Shakespeare and even Stephen King got a mention and Dylan.

This poem was mentioned as well. It was used in a famous film. Can you guess?

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,

Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,

Silence the pianos and with muffled drum

Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead

Scribbling on the sky the message 'He is Dead'.

Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,

Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,

My working week and my Sunday rest,

My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;

I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,

Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,

Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;

For nothing now can ever come to any good.
