Enjoyed Arrietty, enchanting and beautiful but my fave Ghibli movie is another adaptation from a British novel, Howls Moving Castle.

20 mins of pure escapism, and I believe funding was a combination of sponsorship, Olympic money, and GLC funds set aside for this at the end of the Olympic year.
