We pay all your benefits again.

Not a bad life tbh. 2 kids and get 900 a month after rent has been paid. Never had a full time job but regular smoker, drinker and has 4 cats and 2 dogs.

****ing incredible. You cant make this shit up.

Got three kids and I work very hard in a fairly decent job. After paying my mortgage I have less than half that left for all bills. My wife is receiving family allowance though which is about another 200 a month all told. That tv programme made me feel sick. These people are so entitled and don't live in the real world at all. I both despise and pity them.

Shows the sort of people this government values. Is it any wonder this country is going to the dogs?

Did they say that Liam go £300 pw or PM? I do not see how it can be per week JSA is £71. He does not pay rent or council tax as it is not his house he lives in. If he has declared paying a rent to his relative he would have had to show proof and if he has falsly claimed he will have to pay it back. £300 PM seems about right but as I said about Lamby he would not be able to live on that if he had a place of his own and had to pay for other things like electric and food. That is without extras like TV socialising etc.

How long he lasts as a carer I cannot say. It is very poorly paid for the work that has to be done. They rely on a persons committment and their caring attitude and committment. They deserve a lot more respect for what they do.

It is difficult for those in lower paid jobs ATM. Hours cut zero hour contracts and if they complain there are 40-50 possible applicants for their job..

Sometimes things are not as black as white as it seems. If I see two opposing views that are extreme I look for something in the middle. Both have elements of truth but would be ridiculous if taken on face value. You need a middle ground for balance in my view.

Ive already planned a visit to Waterstones tomorrow.

I find Amazon easier to use. I've many of the books by some of the vets- Winters', Babe and Bill Guarnere's, Malarkey's, but there's a lot more out there I've not got yet.

A mate of mine is into them much more than I, through him I've got George Luz's son on my Facebook now. He has some cracking photos, seems to have dedicated his life to the memory of Easy Coy.

The majority of people who claim benefits are actually working because they are the scummers who thrash out kids safe in the knowledge that the state will be morally obliged to provide for their upbringing. If you don't have kids then you don't need benefits if you're on minimum wage. If you can't afford kids without state help you shouldn't be having kids. Providing welfare that allows people to indulge themselves in such selfish irresponsibility is not caring for them.

I agree with this 100% actually. If not I believe parents to be should've both made a contribution in £'s to the state before then being able to take child benefits off the state.

Anyone see NewsNight last night. Interesting report on mental illness and ECT. They were saying the top doctors still don;t understand the workings of the brain. If they don;t get it how can the layman understand what a person with depression  is going though and what right do we have to judge them?

Well im on Season 4 of The Wire.

Slow burner and very atmospheric for 3 seasons. I'm sure it'll come good when things heat up though.

I've just started watching it, about half way through the first season.  People have said it's a bit of slow burner.  So far, I think it's been ok but not getting the rave reviews.  Now you're saying the 'slow burning' carries on into season 4?  I'm not sure it's worth persevering?

And I'm finding Dominic West quite irritating with his rubber face & phony accent.

I'm not sure how you guys got The Wire in Season 2 and 3 as slow burning but fair enough.

I'm watching the remake of The Amityville Horror on my lunch break at work.
