They should do! There was an update a few months back; it enables you to use the PS2 discs when you do a disc swap when you start with a PS3 disc. This is for all PS3's regardless. I would check that you have all your updates, as it's great. It's still on the PS3 interface, which is loads better than the PS2 one. :)

Just a word of warning; the new Pop Edition doesn't seem to like the disc swapping >_<

I've not bothered getting the Pop game.

Have you tried loading any singstar games on the PS3 hard drive? I wondered if I could put the PS2 games on there.

And those Aussie dics (Spiderbait rock) will they work on a PAL PS3 or are they region coded?

I haven't tried; didn't think you could :dunno:

The Aussie discs should work as they are PAL as well, and as far as I am aware are region free. Certainly some people on various forums have said that they work. It's only the American PS2 discs that won't work.

hmmmm. JB HiFi have them at $45 = £25 but not in stock.

My sister lives in Adelaide so I shall ask her to keep an eye out.

My PS3 just says you cannot pay PS2 discs in it. I put a PS3 singtar in, went it the game, ejected it, put Rocks in and it just comes up and says it wont pay it. :angry:

Weird. Have you checked to see if you have all of the updates? The only issue that I have is that if I start with the new Pop Edition game, it won't play the 80's game. It seems to read the others.

The other PS3 games allow disc swapping with all my PS2 games.

Don't know if this will help. It doesn't really tell you much. I think there is a team you can contact, but couldn't dig anything out.

Lisa, which PS2 discs work on your system?

You need to be in the song menu, then hit the select button; it should then prompt you to take out the disc and replace it. All of the PS2 discs I have work with most of the PS3 games. The only problem that I have is using the 80s disc with the new Pop Edition for the PS3.

I have all the PS2 discs except Bollywood, Disney and Abba.

It's because he doesn't want to see you sad when he beats your scores. Such a gentleman!
