Ah, bad times :(

I've recently finished so looking to 'start out', as such. I know Wymeswold posted a few weeks back about how frustrating it is not getting feedback from a job or interview and it's true, I actually hate getting no feedback.

Good luck in your searches lads.

Quick update seeing as we mentioned jobs in this thread. I have been interviewing for a Business Analyst role he last 2 weeks. 1 phone interview, 2 cognitive timed assessments and 3 in person interviews later (last one was today) i got an offer! Wooohooooooooo.

Keep at it guys you will find something. Dont give up. Took me a bloody year.

Good stuff. I'd be more impressed if I knew what a business analyst did but keep up the good work.

Cheers guys. Basically the role i will be in is to talk to business users or customers (internal or external) to ask them what upgrades etc they are interested in for their software and then analyse stuff, make recomendations etc and document it all. It will then eventually be handed off to programmers to develop the end product.

Theres more to the role but thats a dumbed down version lol.

Don't wanna hear it said that the desocialisation of people by their mobile phones is exclusive to the younger generations anymore.  Just sat watching a 50/60-something lady stand dead still for at least 5 minutes, probs closer to 10 or so, completely transfixed by her screen and ignoring the small child I presume to be her grandson.

Our stand-in cleaner cleans our offices when the main cleaner is on holiday. Must be 65 at least. She was stood on the stairs completely still playing on her phone for at least 15 minutes the other morning. Get to work you fat bint.

 

She also can't hoover for shit, so all in all a pretty useless excuse for a human

Waiting for a courier delivery. They text me at 9.45 to say my delivery window is post 9.30. Thanks

 

If it's Yodel or MyHermes I'd just go about your normal routine, they'll sling it over your house or leave it in the road for when you get back from work. Never a missed delivery

I wish yodel would just stop trying to deliver things and take it all straight to their distribution centre. I'm a lot happier driving five miles to actually receive my parcel than them trying to deliver it but somehow managing to send it off on a canal boat or something.

Most of the van drivers are apparently self-employed, but use Yodel etc for more cash.

 

Rather collect my deliveries in some 'safe storage' facility (like Post Office or other relevant local business), something that's beginning to be popular.

Don't they get commission at like 50p per successful delivery? Anything that ends up back at their warehouse they don't get the bonus for as far as I'm aware. So they fake your signature and chuck your parcels in the dustbin or over the fence. My friend had a 50" TV "delivered" - they left it outside his front door and it was raining! Naturally he was f***ing fuming about it
