What grinds my gears...

Recommended Posts

Facebook groups like 'join now & stop child cruelty.' If you are not donating anything how does that feckin help.

It's the same as online petitions, which are a complete waste of time as it takes about two seconds to do one, thereby providing no evidence that anyone ACTUALLY CARES about the issue, i.e. is willing to devote any TIME or EFFORT into doing something about it.

A lot of people would much rather add their name to an online petition than vote in an election, as the latter involves leaving the house

The order I was expecting yesterday (and which I waited for the whole day for nothing)

arrived today after all.

Only, I was out, so they left the parcels outside, in my front garden, where anyone could have taken them from! Also, had it started to rain, my CD player would have not been too happy and the 2,000 envelopes I had ordered would probably had got somewhat wet.

Do delivery people have a brain?

Talking with food in your mouth is the most vile thing EVAR.

My friend does it all the time. Even when people have told him how disgusting it is. Sometimes I have to leave the room because it makes me feel so ill.

I need to think of something to say to him to make him listen!

Companies that insist on you sending back faulty goods at your own expense (when no need).

Now, why cannot they just send me an electronic version of the DVD?

No extra expense for anyone.

If they really want to inspect the DVD for faults (why would I make it up, I have already paid for it), no problem, but I am wasting my time (going to the post office on purpose) and money (packaging and postage). At least agree to refund me the postage OR give me a freepost address!??!!?

They really know how to keep their customers happy!!!

To be fair that seems kinda impressive to me to do all at once

Well, more than at once, perhaps more as all of them one straight after the other, with no breaks

(I am guessing, I normally don't stick around long enough to find out for sure... )

UNWANTED SMS

Receiving SMSs from senders like "Free ringtones" or "Gr8 chart hits" (no actual number, though one of them sends you to mshop.tv, and a google search reveals caller id:22120000).

- No SMS text

- If you check SMS properties, there is an internet address they obviously want you to go to

(but I would not bother, certainly NOT from my phone).

When I complain to Orange, they say the cannot do anything.

Also, most advisors have no clue what number the texts come from

(I had to give them the 22120000 number - a google search is obviously too demanding for them).

How can this be allowed?

It is not just receiving unwanted texts, it is the threat that they potentially could be charging you for sending you unwanted texts. I have to thoroughly check each text weekly, just in case they come from the same unethical company

1. People who have keytones turned on whilst using their mobiles.

Why do you need that stupid beep for every single keystroke of your inconsequential, pointless text message? If you're old or stupid or deaf, ask someone competent to turn the damn noise off for you.

2. People who post private or inappropriate information as status updates in Facebook.

I need a second income - so I'm going to blackmail you.

Good website, but what an irritating, pious know-it-all he is.

If you're going to send out tax reminders, do it every time my bloody tax is due, not just when you feel like it. Or just email me a pissing reminder. Don't just not send me it.

I know what you mean! They have done that to us too

Thanks for the reminder. Have not sent my SORN back to them yet, because not sure my car has been scrapped yet.

Need to check this out.

HAHA

Just putting a task reminder in my phone "Call Jimmy" (my mechanic) ... and then wanted to add "SORN"

to remind myself... only my phone was in predictive text mode and wrote PORN instead

No, I refuse to ring my mechanic about PORN lol
