What grinds my gears...

I keep seeing a total wankathon on YouTube about a song called ‘Hi Ren’. Commentators saying it’s changed their lives but as an avid music fan, it’s the most cringingly shit bollocks I’ve seen and heard in a long time. Ooooh, it’s angst riven - he can’t play the guitar for shit and he just speaks/shouts some words as if he’s having a breakdown whilst looking in a mirror. Think of someone who is currently failing his theatre studies GCSE’s because he’s totally shit but the all his friends have told him he’s great.

TLDR “Hi Ren’ by Ren is the worst song ever released in the history of the world and anyone who likes it should commit Seppuku.

Obviously, people are now going to have a look at the video, if any of you like it, commit Seppuku. Or alternatively, just go to our next home game.

Out of curiosity I had a listen, 9 minutes! FFS.

Although whilst your criticisms are valid, it's a damn sight more interesting than the rest of the chart bothering shite.

Alternatively, where you put all the info discernibly required when listing an item, such as the dimensions and you still get someone messaging asking 'what are the dimensions?'

I also had someone ask me 'will it fit in my car'. With no info as to what car it was lol lol

By it they meant you after showing up to "purchase" your item and instead snuff you out and toss you in their boot.

Not that i have ever done that.

People who list items on selling platforms with no specific information, i.e. furniture but no dimensions. Just large .......

And those who have "Any questions, please ask" but fail miserably to reply.

Its the "is this still available?" with my prompt reply saying "yes" and then you hear nothing! Why? If I say no would they reply "oh that's a shame, I really wanted it" so if I advertise anything now I put "IF IT IS STILL ADVERTISED IT IS STILL FOR SALE!!"

Then you get the no shows which is also annoying.

It sounds like the skinny jeans indie version of a wankathon prog rock song

No, just find it boring and fake sometimes!

Fair enough but I reckon it could be useful to get the interviewees to relax in order to bring out the best from themselves.   Then again, I never have been the interviewer and can imagine it is equally useful to see how people perform under the pressure.

Being a good interviewer is a great skill just as much as being a good interviewee for me.

The best interviewers ask the required questions and create a platform for the interviewee to demonstrate their ability

Interviews will always be pressured environments, no matter what for some people, but the majority of jobs won't have you ever needing to perform in those situations during day to day so why add increased pressure?

The interview is important for the company to ensure the person is a good fit, but just as much for the person to know they're a good fit for the company.

Depends, when various clients are coming down on you hard almost daily, and timelines are unrealistic, there is day to day pressure.

I agree though, the best interviewees treat the interview as ‘you prove to me why I should work for you’ - self confidence always needed

Capitalism loves a bit of socialism for the rich.

That’s not only the banks’ fault. Governments should let them fail. Why wasn’t svb allowed to fail?

Because governments are run by bankers, people who have convinced the world that though they produce and create nothing, they are really important and valuable. Then the public has been brainwashed by bankers media mates into believing the same thing

I’m not some madman who loves camping, private eye and socialism but I think there’s an element of truth in the above. The revolving door between Goldman and us govt has to have some benefit. And I don’t think the us govt are that incompetent to not know svb wasn’t a big liquidity crisis, so why did they save the lot of it!!!
