Thought that was never gonna end! lol

It was like that Everton -West Ham penalty shootouts!

Tie over now, Isner looked about dead  at the end of that and he's got to play a player that normally chews him up and spits him out in two days.

Shame they couldn't finish things off there. Still, Isner has never beaten Murray when fully rested and in ideal conditions, let alone in these circumstances. Shouldn't be a problem.

Was a shame, but a great effort to come from two sets down to take the Bryan's to the brink. Without sounding like Pearson, it's fine margins, Inglot had a terrible game on Murrays serve and that just gave the Bryan's the window they needed to take the match.

Like you say though, should be fine today with Murray taking on Isner. Even a chance of taking it 4-1 if Ward can produce the goods in the second match.

And Murray sorts it out in straight sets. Never looked like losing.

Got France in the next round, just after Wimbledon. It'll be at home too. If Ward plays like he did against Isner I fancy his chances to nick a match against Benneteau. Gasquet or Simon, and the dubs might win too. That combined with Murray bringing it like he normally does against Frenchmen and a semi final berth is definitely doable - and that would be at home too, against Australia or Kazakhstan!

Murray makes his second clay final in as many weeks, and this one is a Masters final. He's never really seemed at home on that surface, but he's playing pretty well on it now. Nishikori is no slouch on the stuff either so to beat him in such a convincing manner is really good.

Don't expect him to beat Nadal tomorrow, but progress is clearly being made and it bodes well for him at least defending his SF points at the French Open soon.

Yeah he looks like he's turned a corner, Ameile getting knocked up could work in his favor!

What a performance.

Up there with the Olympic and Wimbledon finals, and in terms of the surface and opposition possibly even better.

Edit: 81% second serve points won. Wha? I don't know what he's done to it, but these past couple of weeks it's become utterly bulletproof.

Matt Elliott appears to be the umpire for Andy Murray's match at the moment.

There is something of a resemblance, isn't there?

All going reasonably according to Hoyle on the red dirt of Roland Garros so far. Murray has a nasty draw but Nadal and Djokovic potentially having to play each other before they play him can only work in his favour. On the other side, it seems like Federer has a much nicer run but then there are Berdych and Nishikori lurking about and they could both oust him on a good day.

Not one to mess with then!

Murray might play Ferrer in the quarters - not beaten him on clay I read but  his might be the best chance..

Ferrer is usually a nasty opponent on any surface and positively diabolical on clay, but this year has shown signs that the famous grinding engine is not what it once was. Murray may well be able to take advantage of that.

Does anyone else find ITV's coverage of this just a bit shit. Spend more time feeding Jim Courier''s ego than actually showing live tennis.

I agree, but that said other terrestrial coverage of the Slams isn't much better, punditry wise. Petchey is the only commentator there worth a damn and he does both BBC and ITV work.
