Amazing match - was worried at the end of the third set, but he came through and the atmosphere for the last game was unbelievable.

Oh, and to the people deriding him on account of his personality (not a fan of deadpan comedians then?) or because of a illusionary nationality issue (see the flag and three letters next to his name when he steps out onto court? THAT'S who he's representing, and no, he doesn't hate the English) I refer you to Ian MacShane's famous toast line from Sexy Beast.

Irrational dislike for a reason that can be easily disproven is sad.

You get a bad attitude from Scots every time one of their sports stars does well. They're Scottish and the English are just trying to attach themselves to their success. Sorry, no. No matter where they come from, if they represent Britain, they're British, only when they represent Scotland are they entirely Scottish. Whether the Scots like it or not, their country is part of the union and their sports stars will be British when competing for Britain. The Scots could also support the English when they compete for Britain but generally they don't as generally, they hate the English. There are of course exceptions

Yup. His partner is a debutant as well, and they've defeated one of the greatest double acts in the semi's. Odd how the double's are nearly ignored in the media these days...

Feel sorry for Marray 1st Britain to win the Mens double in 76 years and hardly gets a mention in amongst all the over the top Murray previews.
