meh, I was being  pedantic. Trams are a  sort of train, though I consider them light rail. But it would be odd to tell someone you were on or going to be on a train in Nottingham/Manchester/Sheffield for example, but were actually on a tram. Just seemed weird for the Beeb to not have identified it as a tram, when it looked to be exactly that.

I used to be a runner in the Grandstand studio. You'd wait till Des was off camera and hand him copies of latest scores from the teleprinter.

 

Woe betide anyone who game him the wrong piece of paper, or two copies of the same score. He'd have a right old hissy fit
