lildave3 Posted 28 October 2008 Share Posted 28 October 2008 If I understood this joke it would be much better. Enlighten me. Bloody hell Joe. I was actually proud of that joke. Now you're ruining it for me. Where's Milktray when you need someone to laugh at your funnies. Go and read the FT Factor thread, then come back to me. Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 October 2008 Share Posted 31 October 2008 Gears is ****ing ace. Those wretch things don't half get on my tits though. Told you you wouldn't regret it. It's much better than Halo, no?
Finnegan Posted 31 October 2008 Share Posted 31 October 2008 It's much better than Halo, no? Apples and Oranges. I love both but I wouldn't compare them. Halo has far better multiplayer death matches, Gears has far better co-op play.
Joe. Posted 31 October 2008 Share Posted 31 October 2008 Told you you wouldn't regret it.It's much better than Halo, no? Similar games, I'm going to sit on the fence and say I like them equally. That's the honest truth too. I'll wait until I've got a bit further with Gears though first...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 November 2008 Share Posted 1 November 2008 A mate of mine bought Fallout 3 yesterday. Waht I can I say, stunning game. Absolutely stunning. If I buy Dead Space and it doesn't live up to it's hype (which I doubt it will), I'll be so dissapointed I chose that over this.
Lovejoy Posted 3 November 2008 Share Posted 3 November 2008 Right then lads and lasses, last night my 360 got the dreaded red ring of doom . Of course, the warranty has expired, so what sort of place should I take it to get it fixed, and how much is it going to set me back ?

the_bowman Posted 6 November 2008 Share Posted 6 November 2008 Has anyone got a memory unit (any size) that they would be willing to part with? For many pennies obviously, but I need one to back some stuff up on.
Trumpet Posted 7 November 2008 Share Posted 7 November 2008 Right then lads and lasses, last night my 360 got the dreaded red ring of doom . Of course, the warranty has expired, so what sort of place should I take it to get it fixed, and how much is it going to set me back ? Call Microsoft, they'll arrange for it to be picked up. You'll have to put it in a plain cardboard box (any box other than the actual xbox box) and it should take 2-3 weeks. They pay the delivery charges and will repair it for free. Just don't get opening it or doing the towel trick as it could void the microsoft warranty.

Trumpet Posted 8 November 2008 Share Posted 8 November 2008 The Microsoft warranty shouldn't have expired, they extended the warranty for early xbox 360's which are more prone to problems so it should still be ok. Just complain and they'll help.
Samilktray Posted 9 November 2008 Author Share Posted 9 November 2008 Does having your X-box horizontal or vertical have any affect on it? Which is better for it is what I'm basically wondering...

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 November 2008 Share Posted 9 November 2008 I have my X-box horizontal, have since I got it, and I've never had any problems. I've also got a PS3 and hardly ever play on it. Bar MGS4 and Ratchet and Clank I consider it a waste of money.

Trumpet Posted 10 November 2008 Share Posted 10 November 2008 I think having it vertically can damage disks sometimes, especially if you move it whilst its in that position. I found out the hard way.. Bye bye Fifa 08 when it was one week old..

Bye bye Fifa 08 when it was one week old.. Scratched my COD4 by having to vertical. They recommend you remove game discs when closing the console down to avoid damage too.
