shen Posted 6 November 2008 Share Posted 6 November 2008 Sorry Shen, only just noticed this! I'll find them and sort it out when I get the chance Lovely! Remember playing Monkey Island 1 when I was so young that I didn't understand English. I remember the images very well though, and I managed to progress quite far until the language barrier finally made the whole thing a bit tough

Trumpet Posted 7 November 2008 Share Posted 7 November 2008 Goodness me! I never noticed how rude the "rubber chicken with the pulley in the middle" looked until now. They don't make games like that nowadays.

Golden Axe I could only finish it when I was small with infinite health though... Dug it out a few months ago and it didn't work
shen Posted 10 November 2008 Share Posted 10 November 2008 Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on the SNES. Without a doubt. Strangely, I never liked it nearly as much as Secret of Mana
shen Posted 17 November 2008 Share Posted 17 November 2008 Monkey Island 2... I love that game.... I had it before my PC had a sound card... Them where the days! I just played it through the other day. I never made it that far back in the day, but I love that ending!! They just don't make games with that atmosphere anymore. Having said that, I still prefer MI3, despite the rather rushed and unelaborated ending.
kingcarr21 Posted 5 February 2014 Share Posted 5 February 2014 I thought i would let all members of foxestalk take a nostalgia trip and revisit this thread. im finding it difficult to choose my favourite game of all time. There are so many awesome games ive played but i think Zelda Ocarina of Time just edges it not only for it being an awesome game with epic storyline but also what that game did for the industry. Goldeneye N64 needs a mention aswel as another game that changed the industry. Sorry if some of you posted your favourites when this thread was originally opened but cant hurt to take a trip down memory lane

Manwell Pablo Posted 5 February 2014 Share Posted 5 February 2014 I don't know if anyone else noticed this is whether it was just me by on no fewer than 3 occasions over the years I have had my Link to the Past saved game data completely wiped. First one was when I was younger in the mid 90's. Second one was probably circa 2006 when I tried to replay it on the SNES (Furthest I'd got, had 6 out of 8 diamonds in the Dark World, was fuming) and then I bought it for my DS, same thing happened again. Just turned it on normally and save had gone.
