Hitesh Posted 17 April 2009 Share Posted 17 April 2009 Best way is through safe mode. What's the OS?? Basically, just before the windows loading screen in XP or Vista, keep hitting F8 until it loads - you may have to try a few times! If its Vista you have to be pretty quick! Eventually you will be presented with a few options and one will be Safe Mode. I think the default Administrator password is blank. THen from there you will be able to access the data via the Documents and Settings or Users folder depending on OS. You can also create a new account from there. Otherwise, you may be able to add an external drive which has windows installed and then boot from that and then access the windows drive from there, pick up all the data and then re-install windows.
