Hideo Kojima sneaked onto stage at Microsoft's E3 2009 press briefing today to let the world know that the Metal Gear Solid series was coming to the Xbox 360. That new game is definitely multi-platform. Since Microsoft didn't make mention of Metal Gear Solid: Rising being exclusive to its console, we had a pretty good indication. Even better is the Gamespress information for the newest, Raiden-starring Metal Gear Solid, which is listed for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The release date is still TBA. Games developers are not showing the greater potential of the PS3 through their products imo. And they are running out of time. Hideo will release another gem at any rate. Going to be a really important part of the series though, not just a sidestory like Portable Ops. Supposedly the 'missing link' in the story, how Big Boss goes from the good guy to how he was in the original Metal Gear games with Outer Heaven etc. Can't wait. Great trailer. All the Snakes won't feature, but in that trailer there were numerous versions of him all working together. So possibly some even earlier clones or just shots of the online feature probably. No need to lose any sleep over it being on the PS3 as a lead platform either. XBox 720, or whatever it will be called, is out 2013. Supposedly.
