I also read somewhere that the PS2 compatibility is actually within the PS3 (all versions), its just locked in the firmware so maybe in the future we may see it being unlocked! Some PS2 games are superior to those on PS3, simply because there's no decent choice of game for that genre. I'm thinking RPGs here. We're still waiting for a decent RPG on the system. Back in the day, Playstation owned the RPG genre. Not now it doesn't. It just lives on multi-platform releases. And racers. We're still waiting for this Gran Turismo with around 45038293 cars in it. Complete with cockpit views. By the time this comes round Forza 3, 4 and 5 will be out on 360. Ok, maybe an exaggeration, but you get my point. And then there's all the put back releases to 2010...
