Samilktray Posted 7 September 2009 Share Posted 7 September 2009 Big fan of Jermaine Beckford. Give him a season or too and he becomes lethal, won the Premiership with Leeds in season 3 off the back of his goals.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 September 2009 Author Share Posted 7 September 2009 I don't persist, I just build super teams with insane amounts of cash. This Bremen team is probably the best since my all-conquering AFC Bournemouth side spearheaded by Gomis and Agbonlahor.

I had a Degenham & Redbridge team with a midfield four of Arteta, Stankovic, Capel, and Błaszczykowski. In League One. Ridiculous.

Budweiser Posted 7 September 2009 Share Posted 7 September 2009 I don't persist, I just build super teams with insane amounts of cash. This made me L-O-L so bad. Essien and Navas are next with Wilshere, Ramsey and Rodwell No-one will stop me, apart from Portsmouth.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 September 2009 Author Share Posted 7 September 2009 I try and keep it realistic, but scouting players is as good as cheating. Strongly agree. Scouting is stupid. I never buy players that aren't real. A good challenge is to overhaul Milan's ageing squad. There are loads of good young Italian players you can buy to do it with and the old guard raise a fortune. Paloschi - Never buy players that don't have "faces." The San Siro brings the dollar in as well. The academy / home grown talent aspect of PES that they're bringing in this year is exactly what FIFA could do with, swear they used to have it, mind. The Blur Posted 7 September 2009 Share Posted 7 September 2009 Just started as Man City Signed Adler, Alves, Diego & Villa. Dunno who else to sign. I will get Rodwell I suppose and Ramsey. Maybe Fabregas and a left back. Any ideas? Is he a goalkeeper who plays for Rostock?

Katy Posted 8 September 2009 Share Posted 8 September 2009 Landreau, Sagna, Armand, Camara, Sakho, Giuly, Makelele, Sessegnon, Rothen, Hoarau, Hulk. All the beautiful French names roll off the tongue and then just Hulk on the end. Thank you, so it's basically just the normal PSG squad with added Hulkage. All this Fifaisation is making me want to get cracking and play it again, roll on Thursday!

Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 September 2009 Author Share Posted 8 September 2009 At home to Koln in the quarter-finals of the Deutscher Pokal. We've been unbeaten all season and it's now February. Ishiaku slots in an early goal for the visitors. Chance after chance goes begging at the other end. Baptista is throwing their defenders all over the place but can't get a break, hitting the bar with one header. Palacio is having some joy down the right side and Mikel is getting a couple of shots in but time is slipping away. Only two minutes of injury time signalled. The ball comes back after yet another missed chance and this is the very last opportunity. Prodl finds himself in the right-wing position as everyone bombs forward in search of the late equaliser. The cross comes in, there are two defenders waiting to clear it. Baptista leaps, barges them both out of the way and loops his header up over the keeper into the net. Into extra time we go. 120th minute. Right wing cross again. Baptista rises highest. The great escape is complete. I'll stop now.
