Star Screws That Keep A Laptop Cover In Place

Evening all,

Right, you know the cover of my laptop (think that's what it is called) has around 7 star screws to keep it in place doesn't it.

However, 2 of the star screws have broken (the screw is not bent, but it star seems to have come out now, if you get me) and I want to remove the cover to change my hard drive.

Now, with the stars broken, I don't know what to do and I really want to remove the cover.

Anybody understand what I mean, and what can I do? - I heard that there is something out there that can remove the broken star screws.

Will a screw extractor work?
