I feel like that at times too as I can often take jokes a bit far. 

 

I had one today where a mate and his heavily pregnant missus went to the horse racing, and in our chat group talking about a certain race, he said "Sarah got 2nd". 

 

I nearly replied "Which horse beat her?"...... but managed to stop myself.

ive concluded that a satirical outlook on life is the best way to stop myself going under. The trouble is I’m in my 40s now and it can often make me appear to be socially awkward when in fact all it is, is that I’m  A bit of a melt.

i saw this YouTube video where as a joke this husband ‘ mistakenly’ calls his wife by another name just to see her reaction. It wasn’t good. I bet that was you :D
