VinceNoir Posted 24 August 2010 Share Posted 24 August 2010 Grew up playing this game several times and just started playing it again today, and had totally forgotten how flawless it is. Easily the best game I've ever played! I doubt I will ever enjoy a game more than this. Can't wait till I get to the bloody Water Temple and break my controller. Anyone else enjoy this piece of brilliance?

Anyone else enjoy this piece of brilliance? Enjoyable? Yes. The best game ever? No. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the best game ever made on a Nintendo system. Mario on N64 was up there with it. Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past was quality tho' back in the days of SNES as well. This and Chronotrigger. Try the roms...
danielpholt Posted 24 August 2010 Share Posted 24 August 2010 I'v never played a game on the Wii (namely because i thought Nintendo had ceased to be a game developer and instead decided to spend all their time and money developing way for lazy people to cut down their waistline) but i love LoZ:OoT. Brilliant game. Mario 64 and 64DS are my favourite games of all time though. I still remember beating the first boss on Christmas morning of 98 (?). FoxyPV Posted 24 August 2010 Share Posted 24 August 2010 One of the greatest games of all time!! So many great memories especially listening to Placebo - Without you I'm nothing on repeat as an angst ridden teenager. SIGH Memories Twilight Princess is up there though. dominicmsb Posted 24 August 2010 Share Posted 24 August 2010 Twilight Princess is up there though. I enjoyed that a lot more. I did play Ocarina of time after it though.
Finnegan Posted 25 August 2010 Share Posted 25 August 2010 It must be said that in it's day OoT was absolutely staggering in terms of game play and stunning to look at. I'd never seen a game like it.
Uncle Phil Posted 25 August 2010 Share Posted 25 August 2010 I still get this out every once in a while. Great game. I might have to have a go at the master quest soon, and Majoras mask.
stripeyfox Posted 25 August 2010 Share Posted 25 August 2010 Ocarina's the best ever for me. It still stands up well now, 13 years after release. It was the 3D realisation of the SNES Link To The Past game, which itself was pretty bloody good.

Cat Burger Posted 25 August 2010 Share Posted 25 August 2010 It was silly good, and took forever to complete first time round. Best game ever.

stripeyfox Posted 28 August 2010 Share Posted 28 August 2010 The water temple was a bastard. Horse riding on Lon Lon Ranch, Sunset over Hyrule Field, fishing on lake Hylia. Bloody brilliant!
stripeyfox Posted 28 August 2010 Share Posted 28 August 2010 Link to the past was better for me I'm afraid. I'm playing 3D Dot Game Heroes on the PS3 at the moment - a rather brilliant 3D "homage" to Link to the Past. Take you back to when games were fun. And fooking hard!
