2011 in Music

Recommended Posts

I like your taste 8/10 Alex, so I'll give this a try. Any songs I should start with?

Looking back at your previous recommendations, I'd say you tend to be more of an Indie/Electronic guy.

So I don't know how much of "Alternative" Rock floats your boat...

As for Love Axe, check out their MySpace page.

I'd recommend "Hundreds Of Knives" (which starts out very quietly), "Right Away" or the calm, standard "Moderation".

2. Words I Never Said (Feat. Skylar Grey)

3. Till I Get There

4. I Don’t Wanna Care Right Now (Feat. MDMA)

5. Out Of My Head (Feat. Trey Songz)

6. The Show Goes On

7. Beautiful Lasers, (Two Ways) (Feat. MDMA)

8. Coming Up (Feat. MDMA)

9. State Run Radio (Feat. Matt Mahaffey)

10. Break The Chain (Feat. Eric Turner & Sway)

11. All Black Everything

12. Never Forget You (Feat. John Legend)

Tracklist for Lupe Fiascos new album, Lasers. This could either be really special or really poor, a lot of label politics have affected what this album was originally gonna be like. March 7th.

Is The Show Goes On the track that samples Float On by Modest Mouse?

Actually quite a fan of Trey Songz for some reason, like pretty much anything Sway's ever put out, too. Hoping for at least one or two half decent tracks after The Cool and Food & Liquor. Both very good albums, in my opinion.

New album for Foo Fighters out in April :D

http://www.gigwise.com/news/61059/Foo-Fighters-To-Release-New-Album-On-April-11

Dave Grohl is a living legend in my eyes. Just hope this album is as good, if not better, than previous. In Your Honour or One By One have been their best I reckon.

Official date of release is April 12th.

Album will be called 'Wasting Light'.

Track listing:

1. "Bridge Burning" 4:47

2. "Rope" 4:19

3. "Dear Rosemary" 4:27

4. "White Limo" 3:23

5. "Arlandria" 4:28

6. "These Days" 4:59

7. "Back & Forth" 3:52

8. "A Matter of Time" 4:36

9. "Miss the Misery" 4:33

10. "I Should Have Known" 4:16

11. "Walk"

First single is going to be Rope, released on March 1st.

Show Goes On is 1 of the tracks his label put on the album. Dont like it myself, the single he released on Tuesday is a lot better, Words I Never Said.

I mentioned Lasers earlier in the thread but no-one seemed to notice, so glad I'm not the only person waiting for it though.

Pre-ordered it a couple weeks back, if the whole thing is as good as The Show Goes On and Words I never said it'll be one of my all time favourite albums, absolutely love the guy.
