How did evolve so differently from any other British accent considering the population is made up of ex pats which have a similar mix of varied accents here?

It formed with the convicts trying to sound different to the rich and powerful of the country, with the convicts obviously socialising with each other and with them being from all over England, it has nothing to do with just those said accents.

I've always went from the neck down. I recently saw someone button from the waist up and thought this really weird as I don't think I'd ever seen it before.

i think i always start from about the 3rd button down , work down wards and then the top 2 ( if i'm putting on a tie which is rare )
