Craig Mackail-Smith

Other than Yakubu, and arguably Derbyshire, none of those players would be anywhere near as good of a signing as CMS or Maynard.

It's clear that Sven is looking for a mobile striker with an eye for goal. Barely any of those mentioned fulfil those criteria.

Im sure Sven has got someone lined up already, Thats just me guessing at some random striker names who did well last season.

Ill give you this though, Bothroyd is still a free agent

This is ridiculous.

If he had any sense he'd join us, I really do feel West Ham are under immense pressure to go up, even more than us, we may have the money but they'll be absolutely fvcked if they don't go up, Leicester won't be all rosy if we don't but it'd still be less potentially catastrophic than if he went West Ham and they failed.

I think our owners are far more trustworthy than the porn brigade at West Ham anyway.

Oh well plenty other alternatives out there;

Lee Novak

Leroy Lita

Kris Boyd

Earnshaw

Billy Sharp

Le Fondre

Jordan Rhodes

Bradley Wright-Phillips

Richard Lambert

Glen Murray

Will Hoskins (Did well considering Bristol Rovers got relegated)

Brett Pitman

Matt Derbyshire

Yakubu (Yes this is still possible)

To name a few... We iz massive

If Mackial-Smith ends up not coming the only ones I'd take from that list are Billy Sharp, Yakubu and Matt Derbyshire

If he wants to ce here then great if not f**k off!! We need time to make a move for another striker if he's not interested, I'd say, move for Maynard/Sharp/or just pay the YAK's wages....

That's what you think.....with blinkers. West Ham are a much bigger club than us. To say "if he had any sense he'd join us" is just downright stupid. Alright to some people we may seem a better option but you have no idea what each club has done/said/offered to him.

We may be a viable option by we are by no means the obvious choice.

Engage your brain for what, 15 seconds, and try, really try and understand what I'm saying. It's probably going to be a struggle but I believe in you wish you the best of luck.

 Apprieciate what your your saying, and realise that its not a no brainer choosing us over the hammers, however, not knowing what his personal terms offered are, you have one club on a downward spiral and one massively on the up. You would like to think given what we've seen so far from the owners that theres no way West Ham can offer him better terms than us??? Fair play if he goes there, I'm sure Sven will have a more than capable alternative lined up.

The only reason CMS did not go to QPR was the fact they could not guarantee him that Neil Warnock would be there at the start of the season. Maybe that has changed now and they have.

You could not blame him if he went to QPR and the chance to play Premiership football.

I would rather lose him to QPR than West Ham.

I think we seem to have got to the stage where we are obsessed with CMS signing for us, lets not forget that when he was in the Championship with Peterborough a few seasons a go and did not score many goals and they got relegated. Some players are suited to different leagues, look at Matt Fryatt awesome in league 1, he hardly set the world alight when went up.
