The "do they mean us?" thread

Recommended Posts

He and every other journalist on that show are self important dickheads who deserve no adulation whatsoever.

Its exactly these programs that make the season. Watching their faces , struggling and stumbling on

their Vocab, squirming in their seats, trying to come up with anything sensible.

These are the perks of being the under dogs, the unknowns, the dont want to write abouts...

Well, no.

Sunday Supplement is one hell of a patronising show. Top four guff and severe lack of knowledge about anything outside of the top clubs, but Samuel and Winter (who is in a class of his own) who appear are good journalists and have an education on what they're talking about.

It's hilarious trying to hear them talk about us earlier in the season, they were struggling badly.

It was annoying hearing the press mention our supposed blip, 1 win in 7 was always quoted but there were 2 cup games.  In the same run of 5 prem games Arsenal only got 8 points and lost a game.  We got 9 points and only conceded 1 goal yet theirs wasn't anything of concern.

Ian Wright has always been supportive of us.  Savage has changed his tune but the comments are still all the same.  We are a Vardy/Mahrez injury away, haven't got the depth in the squad, players could feel the pressure.  They squad managed the negative pressure of last season I'm sure they can handle the positive pressure of a title challenge.

They really really don't.

Samuel thinks he's best mates with some managers when it is so not the case.

And Winter. Did you see/hear those adverts? What an absolute cvnt. His opinion is worth jack shit to any sane football supporter. You are just a writer mate, not the voice of football.

lol

Winter is a great writer and a great journalist. Just read the pieces he's done on Pearson over the years.

Nice things said about us on the 5Live Daily last night.

Nice things, really? It's the same patronising gash as it's been all season. Pundits, ex-footballers and jurnos have been saying good things said about us all season, but after the compliments there's always the...but they wont still be there after this difficult run of games or they could make the top four, but they cant win the league! It's always the same, Arsenal, Man City and now even Spurs can win the league, but we can't because...we're little old Leicester.

We're top of the league, so if it's difficult for them to deal with, they can suck it.

Arsenal's form has been mentioned quite a few times, but you don't notice it as much as you are Leicester focussed.

There has been plenty of chat about how Arsenal (and Man City) are throwing away their best chance of a title in years by making stupid mistakes and dropping points where they shouldn't. The difference is this is how Arsenal have been all  season, whereas Leicester have been phenomenal and everyone was expecting our bubble to burst. So our blip (losing one game) was used as evidence for it.

Bloody hell, 26+ pages in a specifically Leicester City thread on that Man City forum lol. Obsessed much?

Not really a bitter obsession though, a lot of them are quite fair and even the criticism (the few there are) is well-rounded and make sense. Always seem a knowledgeable bunch the Mancs (the proper ones not the plastics) and they seem to get how our team works opposed to the guff some opposition come out with *Sunderland*
