The "do they mean us?" thread

Recommended Posts

Just don't understand why people are fearing the worst when you see how the players are reacting to the pressure on the pitch. You don't think there's equal pressure on Spurs right now. Of course there is. Surely the players deserve our belief in them. Apparently not on this forum.

This team has shown and given it all and I will continue to question those that do not believe in them. We are 7 pts up with 5 games remaining.

that's telling them, good on you, Ronnie

I get that West Ham are difficult opponents but we are a better side than them as the league table shows. And we are better equipped to deal with Carroll than Arsenal were. West Ham will come at us and that will suit us. It'll be interesting but I think we can get 3 points.

Tony Alexander AdamsMBE  = (Major Bell End).  He will be on my end of season nominations list fighting for the coveted Bellendious Maximus Gong.  Mind you the competition is looking fiercer with each passing day.

Weirdly  I also read it as Tony Adams, and was going to post something about his misdemeanours (drinking and violence) but he was given a second chance.

And Adams gives Liew just another platform to air his personal views (yet Adams quotes Liew as a "journalist" in this matter).

I find Liew's comparison of his own (alleged) drunken stupors to Vardy's also rather far-fetched. They lead two completely different lives - I wonder whether we'll ever see an intoxicated Liew in a casino in the first place.

So why does Lineker's opinion suddenly matter on this issue? Why only Lineker's? Which other footballers, pundits or journalists had something tangible to say about the casino incident? Why not quote them instead?

The only one to make amends for it, to apologize for the moment and to be held accountable is Vardy, and so he did.

In the original Vardy story in The sun, of the several experts to give a quote damning him, the only one of Japanese heritage showed the least outrage. Yoshimi Gregory, founder of the Leicestershire Japan Society, added: “This term has been around for a long time.“Some people say it carelessly without realising the full meaning. As a footballer and role model, he needs to be aware that he is going to be scrutinised and needs to be more careful than the rest.

https://arsenalarsenal.net/2016/04/13/leicester-and-spurs-benefiting-from-small-club-status/?  Is it just me or do Arsenal have more than their fair share of the bellend  quotient?

He does say his tongue is in his cheek at the very bottom.

Very much this.

It's like a desperate scramble to find the next article to get needlessly irate about in here sometimes.

The truth is that the so called bigger brands are having individual and collective Ratner moments.  Leicester City could be (albeit for a short while) the biggest sports brand on the globe if we win the BPL.

He also describes the incident as 'vicious'. Could someone send him and Jonathan Liew, blacked up, to Mississippi please? Or drop him in Tel Aviv with Islamic dress on. I'd fvcking love to see someone teach him what racism really is...

The second example wouldn't be racism though..
