Boxing

Yes I heard that, but I still don't think Eubank was advising his son not to hit him in the head for his safety. More that he felt going for the body would get the fight over.

Well Steve good on you your virtually the only person on Internet reading it that way

But Fair play opinions are like Arse holes , we all have one !

The Haye press conference was brilliant.

'Who is this guy? Who are you? Nobody ever heard of you'

Haye didn't have a clue how to handle it. Tried to fudge it by saying fight on the undercard etc but when Briggs asked if he fought on the undercard would he sign a contract to fight him next, Haye shut his mouth.

For Haye to accuse him of just wanting a payday is rich indeed.

Apparently Briggs is quite wealthy away from Boxing so he does actually just want to fight.

Totally agree

Haye is deluded

Briggs seems to be the one none of them want to fight

Interesting

Great news

Apparently David Haye will give Blackwell 10% of the ticket sales from his next fight. Taking that as a genuine offer, it's a nice gesture.

Yea he announced it last week

Without being cynical he sold 300 tickets at that stage and was slow selling but they have flown now

Not bitching it's a great offer

But I find it a little upsetting that there is no fund in place to make sure he has to worry about nothing going forward

The money in boxing is huge

Do boxing have and equivalent of the PFA? Some body/organisation where boxers/promoters pay a % so they can support guys like Blackwell? Maybe Mayweather still earning $1m a month from his investments could also help him out!

Used to have an association but it was toothless

I think all promotors should be made to insure every fighter and then that cost gets built into purse bids

It's a murky sport still !

Buzzing for Saturday! Can't believe how much is on the bill, perhaps not the overall quality but in terms of quantity I can't complain! Considering everyone reckoned Martin had taken all the cash and there was none left for an undercard they've done a good job!

The bookies being ridiculous in favour of Joshua, is that just because they're English bookies or is the guy he's fighting a chump?

Martin is nothing special at all,it sums up the state of boxing at the minute he holds a version of the World Title, he even won it because his opponent's knee went in the ring and he couldn't carry on.

He went ten rounds with a guy Joshua put away in four minutes.
