Phube Posted 25 January 2012 Share Posted 25 January 2012 That's a retarded point of view, though. Megavideo had the same policy as YouTube, they can't STOP people uploading things they do not own but if its reported as a breach of copyright they will gladly remove it. Literally the only difference in the companies is that YouTube is a multi-million dollar enterprise backed by Google and MV / MU is an easy target. The charges against MVs creators are both completely unethical and completely insane. The users of these sites need to he held responsible for the content they choose to host. Are you telling me that people (on here and elsewhere) are/were using MegaUpload to watch cats farting and chavs falling off mopeds? Are all these replacement site being touted in here also for that selfsame reason?? Or is it to download; films, music, TV programmes, ebooks, games etc.? That they would otherwise have to pay for... i.e. stealing!
Finnegan Posted 26 January 2012 Share Posted 26 January 2012 I genuinely know more people who used megaupload for ethical purposes than piracy. Sincerely. I used to use it myself for Football Manager add ons and the like.
