Wasn't expecting that from Bruges yesterday... Bet Anthony's not happy this morning !

Some very comical defending from Standard there - although you have to admit, numbers 58 (Oularé) and 10 (Diaby) were on fire for Club Bruges:

Oularé's strike to make it 3-1.

Alex Witsel has a SEVENTY THREE MILLION POUND release clause???!

It would all go to the insurance companies that will have a lot of payments to make if he goes to Spurs and Wasyl murders him during a game.

Italy start introducing green cards in Serie B this season, a card that should benefit teams or players that conduct themselves in a fairplay fashion.

The reward hasn't been defined yet - talks are it could be cash or another valuable prize, such as a sportive license for another season.

Ok, the last suggestion was my own creation. Apologies. :D

What's going on at Gladbach? Started with four defeats out of four after last season's third placed finish, including a 0-3 loss to Hamburg tonight

Seems to me they've been unable to replace the outs in the summer, Stindl hasn't been the revelation in midfield yet, Raffael seems somewhat lacklustre and abandoned up front without his old fellow Kruse partnering him and the team still needs to find its place in terms of overall chemistry and/or cohesion. And Xhaka was once again banned following his dismissal at Werder Bremen.

Tough times ahead for manager Favre.

It's so sad, it always happens when they achieve success. They end up with far too many outs that they can handle, finally build and then it's taken away again when they achieve the same success.

I agree with this 100%

They look a shadow of their former self. I think they'll really miss Kruse. Raffael and Kruse really did work well together. They really miss Kramer too.

Marseille fans have mocked former player Mathieu Valbuena the ugly way:

Burnt his old Marseille shirt before the match, insulted him verbally during the game and also put up a hangman with his face on it.

"Valbuena is a homosexual", "We have to kill Valbuena the homosexual".

What lovely chants. Utter cretins and scum.
