Corky Posted 12 May 2015 Share Posted 12 May 2015 Crappy TIFO from bayern, they need a few Union FS boys to go over there and show them how it's done. Need the clappers as well.
Finnegan Posted 15 May 2015 Share Posted 15 May 2015 1. Any chance of having this thread renamed World Football? 2. Boca River at the Bonbonera abandoned in the Copa Libertadores after Boca fans casually pepper spray a few River plays. Unbelievable Jeff. And we think the odd plastic bottle or penny cobbed at goalkeeper or linesman is crowd trouble. ****ing hell. Different world. What are they called over there? Barras bravos or something? Nuts. Yeah, we think the odd coin is trouble like you say, look at the amount of objects thrown at the River players leaving the pitch after the game was abandoned! Worst thing is the Boca players stayed out and applauded the fans afterwards!

MC Prussian Posted 15 May 2015 Share Posted 15 May 2015 (edited) You think football in Argentina is hard? This is hard stuff: Emanuel Ortega, 21, from a fifth division side, died shortly after sustaining head injuries in a league match. He was bodychecked by an opposing player and tumbled backwards into a wall made out of concrete. Edited 15 May 2015 by MC Prussian

MC Prussian Posted 19 May 2015 Share Posted 19 May 2015 Bye bye, Parma. The memories of past successes will last forever. The names, the games, the thrills, the joys, the jubilations... Hope you can bounce back soon - Serie A without you just wouldn't be the same anymore.

MC Prussian Posted 20 May 2015 Share Posted 20 May 2015 Middle East or the US? Don't they usually like to retire there? I'd say at 33, he still has three to four good years in him to make it in a major European league. Imagine Casillas in the Premier League or Bundesliga. Imagine Casillas in the Premier League or Bundesliga. It's not very likely in my view. He's shown since Mourinho was there that he's not at the same level as he used to be. Besides, I doubt he'd want to play for any other team in Europe, but stranger things have happened for sure.

Nalis Posted 22 May 2015 Share Posted 22 May 2015 Didnt know where to put this but if you fancy a laugh this lunchtime have a read at the below: http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/32826933 The trophies and achievement section is my favourite part. Common knowledge that a Champions League win is equal to a MLS Shield or Cup...
Jordan Posted 22 May 2015 Share Posted 22 May 2015 It's a silly article and not really the kind of stuff one expects from the BBC. In any case, as they're talking about which one is the better "celebrity" ex-footballer, then Beckham wins regardless of what silly metrics are used to determine this. I wouldn't rank Beckham's football achievements above Maldini's, but his MLS career is one of a few reasons why Beckham is much more well-known in the United States than Maldini is. Surely an MLS Supporters Shield (soccer's own President's Trophy) is in no way more valuable than a Champions League medal, but in the context of this silly debate I guess it does have some importance. Haydos Posted 22 May 2015 Share Posted 22 May 2015 England failure and had to move to America as he wasn't good enough anymore. And then came back to play for PSG because he wasn't good enough. One of the top players in the world at his peak. Best dead ball specialist, best crosser, best passer, goalscorer. Maybe slightly overrated but still world class. England failure? Christ.
