I think it does provide analysis, quite detailed in Dahmer's background and childhood. I didn't think it was grisly but more, OMG I never knew that.

I almost felt sorry for him at times.

It is pretty disturbing.

I never felt sorry for him because it’s hard to forget what he becomes/does as an adult.  You see contributing factors from his childhood, but I just think he’s one of those people who are born pure evil.

The show is interesting, but hard to enjoy due to the subject matter.  I’m glad Netflix did not glamorize or romanticize him.  Nor did they make excuses.  They just put it out there.

The Morning Show is worth watching, despite its lead performances. Reese Witherspoon has pretty much written the role for herself to show what a 'right on' person she is, and Jennifer Aniston gives perhaps the best dramatic performance I've ever seen her give (still not very good, she's just schooled in comedy and lighter roles) but both play strong characters and the show itself is strong. Recommended.

That Dahmer Netflix programme looks good. I remember reading about the story before but it looks very thrilling and intriguing, and no doubt frustrating with the incompetence of US police.

The Crown is back for Season 5 on Netflix in November :D

Blankety Blank with Bradley Walsh is TV gold. Top-class Saturday night entertainment.

Love it. Bradley Walsh is just a hilarious person anyway.

Being born pure evil is far to deterministic isn't it

I find with most serial killer dramas or documentaries about them a lot of the time it highlights incompetence or bias on whichever police force were investigating.

Agreed. That's what made it "different".  Having read a couple of books about Dahmer, this series reinforced the facts contained therein.

Just finished watching the Dahmer series and thought it was a fantastic yet brutal watch, especially the first couple of episodes. I’m always intrigued by these true crime murder programmes and documentaries.

Looking forward to watching ‘Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes’ which comes out on Netflix on Oct 7th.

It had the same effect on me that the hannibal TV series did. It just made me so uneasy it affected my mood. Horrible show, so very effective and did what it set out to.

Given up on Rings of Power, really wanted to like it but it’s incredibly boring. It alternates between stunning vistas and cgi one minute and cheap as chips costumes and armour the next. I really can’t see where the money has been spent.

I think it's just starting getting going after a plodding start. I enjoyed the last episode much more than the others.

And talking more of Rings Of Power, this week was the first genuine really good episode. A little slow to start but was a blinder after that.
