Watched the first episode of Hoff The Record yesterday, found it more than just fairly amusing, it's actually a very decent show.

Love the way Hasselhoff can take the mick out of himself and how it also maintains regular references to the British English vs. American English differences.

No idea, it's on KODI though. I absolutely swear by that software these days for TV viewing.

What add on do you use for watching TV series Carl? I have a couple but the variety isn't brilliant on them.

Genesis is the only one I really use.  Their GV Centre links (usually at or near the top of the list) are the most reliable for me, but I find that unless the shows quite obscure there will always be at least one genesis link that works (Look Around You for instance has dodgy but working streams for some of S1 - they're all catalogued completely wrong though - and no working streams for the other series).  A while back I went through a patch where I had to use their "LQ" streams for Arrow and I think Gotham too, but even then it was actually a decent quality video.

Watched the first episode of True Detective series 2.

 

I liked it. Perhaps trying a little bit hard a times to be really 'dark'. (The singer in the bar scene)

 

That last shot was awesome though.

 

Excited too see what happens, kinda miss Rust.

Reckon this will be an underrated season. I'm not saying you, but a lot of people are moaning about how it's not Rust, or how the theme is Leonard Cohen instead. People are just bitching and bitching one episode into the season.

Just watched true detective.

My view is this opening episode could be ridiculous or inspired depending on what follows.

I despaired when I heard that Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn were coming in for Matthew mcconaughey and woody Harrelson.

Then I remembered what I thought of those actors in the 90's/early 2000's when they were romcom and comedy fodder respectively.

You never know they could be good!

Yeah gotta try and not compare it to the first series.

 

Rust etc are gone.

 

Reckon this will be good. Its set up nicely.

 

Love those big swooping landscape shots.

 

Its HBO, its gonna be premium.
