TheUltimateWinner Posted 21 August 2012 Share Posted 21 August 2012 Big Wes & De Laet have made the team of the week. Exciting thread I know.

Chairman of the Bored Posted 21 August 2012 Share Posted 21 August 2012 DeLaet good shout. He was very good on Satdeh. Let';s hope he keeps it up as could be buy of the season.
AKCJ Posted 21 August 2012 Share Posted 21 August 2012 I'd have replaced De Laet with Drinkwater. While I thought De Laet played really well, I thought Drinks was outstanding.

blueblood88 Posted 21 August 2012 Share Posted 21 August 2012 I heard that de laet was quick, but I was surprised by just how quick he actually was! Massive asset for a full back, he will get us out of a lot of sticky situations if we're left exposed at the back, especially away from home. Guest Col city fan Posted 21 August 2012 Share Posted 21 August 2012 I think DeLaet looked solid and got forward well. I wasn't sure about his final ball sometimes though. I'm sure I saw him give it away a few times in the second half. And before anyone jumps, no, I'm not having a dig at the player, merely making an observation. He looks another good Nige acquisition. Not quite as good as Nielsen was though to be fair...

ScouseFox Posted 21 August 2012 Share Posted 21 August 2012 I thought Drinkwater was alright on Saturday, but I can't work out exactly what he did to be suggested to be in this team or to be second on the MOTM thread. A few decent passes in the second half after he spent most the first half stood still giving the ball away.
Fox92 Posted 21 August 2012 Share Posted 21 August 2012 I was very impressed with all our new signings. Shame James went off because I thought he was excellent. Well done to De Laet and Morgan though, let's hope it can continue.

Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 21 August 2012 Share Posted 21 August 2012 Or the mighty Bolton Wanderer, Matt Mills? I hear he warms a bench better than anyone else
Corky Posted 21 August 2012 Share Posted 21 August 2012 No place for Leeds United Captain Lee Peltier? We missed a trick there. Which Peltier normally did when faced with a winger.
