Weather & Boro At Home

Recommended Posts

There's something a little bit strange about desperately attempting to get 20,000 people moving around in this kind of weather when everyone's driving at 10mph when it could just be postponed - it's not exactly the end of the world. It's a lot of unnecessary traffic very near to a large hospital for one thing - just seen an ambulance struggling past a load of stationary cars near where I live.

At the moment the ground and surrounding area ar fine. The roads are busy as surely everyon would expect but they are still passable. Rush hour will be over before kick off so still a good chance it will be on.

Exactly. Of course it's going to be busy at the minute, it's Friday afternoon. I think it will stay busy what with the football traffic, but that doesn't mean nobody can get in. Get this game on, even if you have to delay kick off slightly. If the pitch and stadium are fine then the game should stay on.

people climb Mount Everest every year for goodness sake and people are whining about slipping in the snow, if you think that your going to be one of those then stay in and watch it on sky or stream it.

Really does take the piss when Boro'fans are traveling about 400 miles there and back

Game is on! Leicester just released a statement 10 minutes ago on thisisleicestershire.co.uk

Sounds more likely that a journo rang up and was told that, for the moment at least, the game is on.

The club should really have something up on the official website within the next hour or so, either saying its definitely on or definitely off.

Unfortunately that may not happen if a 'final call' isn't made until 6pm, and the police/safety authorities don't make a decision until late in the day. As others have said the state of the pitch will not be a problem, so the final call will not probably not rest with the referee/club/groundsmen but rather some outside authority. Let's not forget that Sky, having paid for the thing to be moved to tonight anyway, may want a say in it too...

It has just been on Sky sports news, pitch will be ok. Plod are responsible for surrounding roads and paths from what they say.
