Apparently there were Peterborough fans on one of the carriages and one of them piped up and then got chinned by a leicester fan, don't quote me but that's what I heard

Wasnt room to chin anyone on the earlier train!!!

Literally couldn't move my can to my mouth until the 1st stop.

We went drapers then caught the 6:50 as knew train would be so rammed. Annoying didn't get into leics till 9 o clock. Curry at shimla pinks on london road made up for it though

I just cannot believe what I read. All these people 'Against Modern Football' - who winge because the terrace was busy! Grow some balls, get there early and get your spot. There was space to the left. That what terracing is like, and if you dont like it your not against modern football at all.

So if youre late then you can't watch the game ? Did anyone go boston in pre season ? That was packed but not like yesterday. There was no space. My mates 6 ft 5 and he couldnt see any space. Loads of people where outside with no idea how to get in. The steward told us that they had no idea what to do and the head steward was running up and down and didnt have a answer.

I got a seating ticket for this game as my last couple of times at London Road behind the goal wasn't the best view of the game.

I did look at the space available before kick off and seemed plenty of space at the side nearest our seats but once the game kicked off that was well full as well, Tickets over sold for sure

We were on the right hand sideand too be honest was quite a lot of space, well enough anyway, it was a cracking day (apart the result) charters before the game was ridiculous, swear it was moving at one point! Went to the toilet was quicker to go on one door walk outside and go in the other! The tattooed lad behind the bar said we were the best set of fans he has ever seen in there!

King Richards Barmy army!!

I am complaining but not about the terrace being busy but about the management by the stewards. They soon pick up on anything the fans do wrong so I'm just returning the favour.

I admit to pissing up the wall like the other 1000 or so that would have pissed themselves waiting to piss in 1 trough allocated for 5000+ fans, i was also in Charters on the river nene before the game and that place was rocking with city fans. :)

Anyone who thinks the away end was unsafe wanted to try being on the 1st train home.

Can imagine.. we got the Liverpool Lime Street connection to Notts about 20 minutes earlier instead as we knew it would be rammed.

Got the 11:15 to Peterborough too and they only had 3 carriages! I think some people got left behind at Oakham! Ridiculous, Cross Country trains should have put more carriages on, the train surges were a bigger crush hazard than the terrace!

Was busy still mind

Hmm fair... if two of you concur on it then I must have got my numbers wrong! Still, very busy and would have expected maybe a couple more carriages to have been put on.

I was in the seated area with my daughter. What a shambles. Got there at 2.15. Went to the crappy little room they called a snack bar, bought her a bottle of fanta orange for half time so we wouldnt have to queue up and they took the lid off " in case she used the lid as a weapon".Got to our seats, wooden seats covered in pigeon shit, then to make it worse, stewards telling us to sit down at kick off. If posh dont get relegated they should be booted out of the championship until they bring their ground up to standard

We got the 11.15 from town and it was 4 carridges. Its normally only 2 having done it last 3 or 4 seaons. Stilk packed mind. We had 2 french girls on our carridge asking what was happening.

Train home was only 3 and a death trap. Accident waiting to happen.

Shame to hear this though. Utter shameful stuff from them and and I'm far from convinced it was accidental - surely at least one of Leicester or Peterborough would notice? Can't help but feel it's a little game to get more money and with the whole Hillsborough situation it's in very poor taste. I hope I'm wrong and it was a genuine mistake but that doesn't excuse it and the fact they'll get away with it is a farce.

Adrian 'gobshite' Durham was apparently calling our fans stupid on the radio, completely failing to acknowledge it was their fault.

Posted

As someone who was stood next to the entrance where the overcrowding occurred, I can state that it wasn't our fans fault for this.

The centre entrance was the only one where fans were being allowed in. Obviously the early arrivers went to the sides and spread out, this wasn't possible after 3pm when the later arrivals turned up. I didn't hear a steward say "There is space at either end of the terrace", absolutely nothing at all. How were the fans meant to know there was space? One look and it seemed full. In previous visits the smaller entrances either side of the main one were open and fans could go through them, this time stewards were in the way and it wasn't possible to pass by.

Durham was clearly getting his info from the tannoy message. The Norwich fans might've been "less stupid" but they might also have had better arrangements for getting into the Moys End.
