Leicester 1-2 Watford Post Match

Recommended Posts

Exactly my point. They've found a loophole which has been exploited by them, and that's fair enough - they're entitled to do that. If the Football League thinks it's unfair, it's up to them to close that loophole, which is what they appear to have decided to do.

If we'd gone to Udinese and Granada and asked to loan a shitload of their players for the season, would they have all come to us? I doubt it. Would players of that calibre come to a Championship club on loan if the owners didn't have a vested interest in the club? There is no question that the shared ownership played a massive part in the foreign players who moved to Watford on loan this season. But all credit to the manager - he got them playing and utililised them well. But Watford fans shouldn't be surprised if the rules are different next season, I think this has been a one off. Thankfully for Watford, this one off might have been all they needed to get promoted.

They will close that loop hole because i don't think anyone actually envisaged the owners of a serie a team buying a english championship team and loaning them a load of players. Its like easy money.

Yeah just googled him. Started out at Wycombe and Northampton! Had an interesting looking career haha. Was very impressed with him on Friday, can't say I've seen him play ever before though so I'll take your word for it. You looking to keep him or is he wanting to stay in Spain?

Part of the Glenn Hoddle Academy too. Worth a little read too that is.

I actually really like Hoddle.

Sorry - it is partly my fault too for answering the questions!

Maybe somebody ought to close it and we can move on.

Be sods law that we meet in the play-offs now!

I found the replays worthwhile and am still trying to work out how we lost at your place last year. I do hope with what ever rule changes come into effect your club is not made to pay a heavy price.

Hopefully what ever the situation in terms of rule changes its all sorted quickly..knowing the FA/FL it will be mid August or something before they vote!

I would like to think we would have other plans in place should the regulations be voted in.

**** I regret that.

You were the biggest twat that invaded this board during the playoffs. I hope you're suffering the gut wrenching sickness and asking yourself "what if" every time your mind goes blank for the next month.

I was ecstatic that you lost yesterday because of your behaviour and your fellow pals who literally wouldn't fvck off during the two meetings. Justice utterly served.

Let this be a lesson you silly little boy.

Anyone who can't understand why I set up the Watford Trolls thread needs to have a quick look through this one.

Reading the sheer, unbridled arrogance and hand rubbing over Premier League football from the remedials is fvcking hilarious now.

At least you had the balls to come back. But you were a bit of a twat so you're almost certainly about to get the stream of abuse you deserve, good luck.

Dont worry Watford, your sponsored by Football manager.

Just quit without saving and start over.

or what they could do to cheat is add themselves as the manager of some bigger foreign teams so they can get players on loan or for cheap!......oh wait.

This week's specialty in Watford pubs and restaurants: Massive humble pie.  :)

I do hope the football league will take action against this legal loophole and prevent teams to field more loan players than players that actually belong to the club in one match.

Also, there needs to be a specific limit of loans in total per season (with exceptions in case of injuries and the likes).
