Championship 2013/2014 Stuff it in here.

So what actually happened with Paul Robinson and the referee?

Apparently the ref was taking the piss over the scoreline or something, completely out of order IMO. Referees should stay impartial and disconnected at all times, all they're there for is to officiate. Sometimes seems that these refs crave attention and let it all go to their heads, they think they're on par with the players and that they're so ****ing important.

You would think Burnely fans would be bloody delighted to be comfortably in second and not be wasting their time dreaming about beating us to top spot.

That kind of attitude breeds complacency, if they're happy being where they are in second, then where does the desire go? Do you think we should just be delighted that we're top and not strive to do even better?

Agreed but then Paul Robison is a very easy person to get annoyed with.

Suspect Robbo had said something beforehand...

Well if that's true (not doubting you of course) then that is pretty out of order. Players are ordered, commanded to give respect to referees, but respect has and always should be a 2-way street.

Apparently Ings played with an injured ankle against Bournemouth a few weeks ago. Did not want to miss a match against his old club.

A few of the Burnley players have played with minor injuries (like hip, back, shoulder) this season, Maybe they don't want to risk losing their place.

Trippier gets clattered three or four times a game. They just rub painful area with a sponge and he carries on. Trips would have to be half dead for them to drag him off the pitch.

I pity the poor manager who ever tries to sub him.

I think you've done really well to have avoided any serious injuries to your players up until now, considering your squad side. Would much rather your team promoted than any other of the five teams currently below us :)

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has just had his weekly press conference and was non-committal about the extent of the Danny Ings ankle injury.

Dyche would not rule out Ings for Saturday's match against Leeds but added that they were waiting until Friday morning for the ankle to settle.

He told reporters that he hoped there was nothing "sinister" about the injury.

Looks like they are keeping it in-house as long as possible and don't want to put a timescale on any recovery. They'll keep the fans (and opposition) in the dark as long as possible.

If they said he was out for the season, there would be gloom and despondency among the fans but they cannot say he will "only miss a couple of games" and later be accused of misleading the fans and giving them false hope.

I reckon a big clue will be to watch if Dyche enters the loan market in the next two weeks before the deadline.

The ref will get protected of course.

Funny how everyone believes Birmingham's side of the story here, yet when it's Davies against us, the referees side is rightly believed.

Ref's aren't robots and he probably acted in a manner of complete innocence. The referee has a lot more to lose in this situation than Robinson and I know who I believe.
