RonnieTodger Posted 20 June 2013 Share Posted 20 June 2013 Has anyone got this? I didn't realise it came out last month, but it looks superb. Although I had the first one and thought it was shit. Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on any improvements.
Finnegan Posted 20 June 2013 Share Posted 20 June 2013 I will immediately buy any rugby game that ACTUALLY gets good reviews and ACTUALLY has half decent licensing. Apparently, this never happens. lol Team Lomu: a team comprised entirely of Jonah Lomu. Devastating.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 June 2013 Share Posted 20 June 2013 There was a half decent one on the PS1, think it was done by Codemasters and all I can remember it had Bill McLaren commentating and when it started raining he would say in his sonorous tones, "Brrriiiitish weeaatheeer." kingfox Posted 21 June 2013 Share Posted 21 June 2013 I had the last one, thought it was great, until I stopped playing it and went back to play it again after a couple of months, and thought, wtf is this shit. Felt like a PS2 game.
RonnieTodger Posted 24 June 2013 Author Share Posted 24 June 2013 I had the last one, thought it was great, until I stopped playing it and went back to play it again after a couple of months, and thought, wtf is this shit. Felt like a PS2 game. It was the constant offloads after being tackled that annoyed me. When you played against someone capable, it was almost like basketball, in end-to-end scoring. Also, about 25% of the time, if you’d kick for touch in your 22, it’d treat it as if it were on any area of the pitch. The commentator would say “oh that’s out on the fullâ€. I’m in my 22! I didn’t pass it back in, either.
