Danno Posted 31 August 2013 Share Posted 31 August 2013 Hi all dropped my iPad last night, where Is best to go to replace the screen and roughly how much?
DB11 Posted 31 August 2013 Share Posted 31 August 2013 Go to the Apple store and see if they'll give you a replacement. Sometimes it's only a minimal administration charge and you get a brand new iPad!
Stadt Posted 31 August 2013 Share Posted 31 August 2013 Yeah do what DB11 said, you might get a new one for nothing or you might have to pay stupid money for the repair
mcbfox Posted 31 August 2013 Share Posted 31 August 2013 When I smashed my I pad mini screen the apple store said I couldn't fix them as there a sealed unit. They quoted £190 to replace it. I didn't go with it in theend so I'm still using it with the smashed screen. Hope it helps.

stripeyfox Posted 1 September 2013 Share Posted 1 September 2013 Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 I bust mine at Christmas. Was going to claim on my house insurance but the excess was £75. I used a company called Mercom Gadget Repair in Poole (the insurance company recommended them). Sent the ipad away by registered post and got it back three days later fixed. Cost about £70 I think
stripeyfox Posted 1 November 2013 Share Posted 1 November 2013 Just an update on case anyone stumbles upon this thread in the future. I understand that Mercom Gadget Repair who I recommended in an earlier post are no longer trading and done people have lost devices returned to them. So do not use them, or certainly not on! Recommendation anyway Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
