MC Prussian Posted 9 September 2013 Share Posted 9 September 2013 Just yesterday, I had a talk with a Finn about the recent Nokia deal, which saw their mobile division getting sold to Microsoft. Now, a group of former Nokia engineers that got laid off over the past few months and years have formed a new mobile phone company called Jolla. Their new (first) phone is supposed to be released later this year and it's based on the previous Nokia Open Source operating system Sailfish that was once scrapped by Microsoft managers: Core features: - 4.5'' display - Dual core processor - 4G - 16 GB internal memory - Micro-SD - 8MP AMF camera - user-replaceable battery - Android App compatible

DB11 Posted 9 September 2013 Share Posted 9 September 2013 Expensive for an untested brand.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 September 2013 Share Posted 9 September 2013 Impressive but strange market for them to enter into, an unproven brand or a respected brand with an already widely established operating system... I know what I'd choose.
