FOXES & REDS CLASH IN IMPORTANT FIXTURE

It has been a rough season so far for Leicester City, they sit in 25th place knowing they need to put a huge run of results together in order to avoid disappointment this campaign. The foxes hold the second worst defense in the league and are facing one of the most dangerous teams currently in the table.

Second placed Liverpool travel to the King Power Stadium knowing victory could seem them top by the end of this match day, if Borussia Dortmund slip up in Ukraine. Goalscorers like Luis Suarez & Daniel Sturridge will fancy their chances to say the least, given the foxes poor defensive record.

Leicester go in today's game on the back of some poor form, losing 4 of their last 5 games. Despite a win against Shakhtar Donetsk, many of the Foxes fans are fearing the worst when the red side of Merseyside arrive.

Chris Wood & David Nugent are the clubs joint top goalscorers, both having bagged 3 a piece, however they need to find a lot more if they are to survive this year.

Liverpool go into the game having hit a gold patch of form, winning their last 3 of their last 5 games. They come unstuck in a romp, losing 4-0 at Paris Saint-Germain and were also left frustrated picking up 2 draws against Atletico Madrid & Inter Milan.

Goals have not been hard to come by however, Luis Suarez leads the way with 10 goals for the reds. Steve Gerrard has an impressive 8 goals to his credit whilst Daniel Sturridge also weighs in with 7 goals.

The reds will fancy their chances to win this fixture but it is a massive game at either end of the table.

- Here come both sets of players as they enter a tense atmosphere here at the King Power Stadium. Leicester fans have been used to defeats this season but if they can manage to pull out a result here, it could be a huge mental boost. Liverpool look confident and know they need to win to keep pace with Borussia Dortmund.

0 - Kick Off - Liverpool get the game underway, kicking from right to left.

2nd - GOAL FOR LIVERPOOL!!! STEVEN GERRARD!!! It's a disastrous start for the Foxes here as Liverpool have an early lead! A brilliant passing move between Suarez & Sturridge set the England striker away, he cut inside down the left before playing the ball across the edge of the area.

The man in form Steven Gerrard then met the pass with a rasping drive which curled away from Schmeichel into the far corner. A great start for the Reds.

3rd - The Foxes almost reply instantly! Great work from Knockaert, we beat Skrtel on the far side and picked out King. King crossed to the back post where Dyer rose highest only for Mignolet to produce a wonderful save! Corner to Leicester.

4th - Liverpool manage to clear the corner, albeit in panicked fashion. The Foxes have made a bright reply to that early goal.

7th - The Reds are settling into a nice rhythm here, passing the ball around nicely, Steven Gerrard the architect.

10th - Suarez is almost in on goal but a wonderful last ditch tackle from Wes Morgan clears the danger.

13th - Dyer is proving the out ball for the Foxes here so far, he has beaten Toure for pace on a few occasions. Most recently however, his cross failed to match the endeavor.

15th - GOAL FOR LIVERPOOL!!! LUIS SUAREZ!!! Quite an incredible scene as Kasper Schmeichel has his head in hands! The Danish keeper caught a routine ball forward from Lucas, the ball was intended for Suarez. Schmeichel puts the ball down to take a kick and little does he know Suarez is behind him!

The Uruguayan steels the ball off his toe and rolls the ball past the despairing keeper! More disaster for the Foxes just when they were looking to build a foothold!

17th - Almost a third for Liverpool! Suarez gets in on goal once again however Schmeichel makes some amends making a double save, first from Suarez then from the rebound shot by Sturridge!

20th - Gerrard hits the bar! From all of 30 yards the England skipper rattles the woodwork with a thunderous drive! Schmeichel was beaten all ends up. Leicester really need to wake up here or it could be a rout!

23rd - Substitution for Leicester City. It would appear a tactical change is being made here, The Foxes are going 4-4-2 as Paul Konchesky replaces Marcin Wasilewski.

25th - Great chance for Leicester! A wonderful break through the middle from Schlupp, he picks out Knockaert who dinks a ball to Wood. The New Zealand striker releases his shot but Agger blocks at the last second.

28th - The Foxes seem more comfortable now they are playing 4-4-2, can it provide rewards though?

32nd - Liam Moore makes a vital interception just as Suarez is about to shoot! Corner to Liverpool here.

Stunning save from Schmeichel! Suarez's corner picks out Henderson at the back post and his half volley is superbly stopped!

34th - Leicester are struggling to get that all important shot on goal so far, they are not really troubling the Reds back line.

38th - Yellow Card for Kolo Toure. Knockaert & Schlupp combine well after some really good pressing, they win the ball off Toure near the corner flag but the Liverpool man commits a foul in frustration. Free Kick to Leicester in a good position.

39th - The Free Kick comes to nothing and Liverpool look to break.

41st - GOAL FOR LEICESTER CITY!!! JEFFREY SCHLUPP!!! The Foxes have found that all important goal and this could be huge in the context of this game. The Reds lost possession in the middle of the park and Andy King released Schlupp through on goal, Toure compounded his bad half as he was outpaced by the youngster who smashed the ball past Mignolet! Game on!

43rd - Wood almost gets in after good work by Knockaert, he is just pushed too far wide and the initial shot sails harmlessly away.

Half Time - Liverpool go into the interval leading 2-1 here but Leicester City's goal before half time may have the Reds thinking this game is far from over. It was a disastrous start to the game for Leicester but the formation change seems to have helped them. Can they pull a rabbit out of the hat in the second period?

45th - Substitution for Leicester City. Dean Hammond is making way here and Danny Drinkwater enters the fray.

45th - Substitution for Liverpool. Kolo Toure is coming off and Mamadou Sakho takes his place.

45th - Leicester City resume proceedings here.

48th - Keep ball session from Liverpool so far, Leicester are holding their positions and daring the Reds to come forward.

51st - Substitution for Liverpool. Joe Allen is coming on here, Lucas Leiva makes way.

54th - Schlupp is just offside as Wood plays him in on goal. Nervy moments for the Reds back line.

58th - GOAL FOR LIVERPOOL!! LUIS SUAREZ!!! The Foxes fightback may have been killed off here as Suarez doubles his tally! Leicester managed to block a rasping shot from Henderson but the ball bobbled all over the box before nestling at the foot of Suarez, who make no mistake from 6 yards!

59th - Substitution for Leicester City. Final change of the game for the Foxes, David Nugent is on for Chris Wood.

61st - Liverpool look firmly in control now! Schmeichel makes a big save stopping Suarez from getting his 3rd.

63rd - Substitution for Liverpool. Victor Moses takes to the field as Jordan Henderson makes way.

66th - De Laet provides a great cross for Nugent and somehow Mignolet stops a thunderous volley from close range!

72nd - Corner to Liverpool after some good work by Suarez.

Sakho thunders a header just wide of the post! Relief for the Foxes faithful.

73rd - GOAL FOR LEICESTER CITY!!! JEFFREY SCHLUPP!!! It's just got very interesting here as the Foxes have a second! Schmeichel smashes his goal kick up field and Dyer finds himself in tons of space, he bursts down the left and pulls a great ball across goal for Schlupp, who side foot volleys the ball past Mignolet! 15 Minutes to go and its game on again!

76th - Leicester Fans are up in arms as David Nugent scores but its ruled offside! Nugent is furious but he is slightly ahead of the play.

78th - Schlupp almost becomes a hero but Mignolet rushes off his line to block his powerful shot! Great play from Dyer to release the striker with a well timed pass.

79th - Sturridge almost buries the game with a well placed shot, it beats the keeper but just grazes the outside of the post!

82nd - Leicester are all over Liverpool here! Dyer once again provides a wonderful cross but Sakho's header just takes it off the toe of Danny Drinkwater.

86th - The time is ticking away, Liverpool are trying to keep the ball but Leicester continue to press.

89th - Dyer almost gets in but Sakho covers well and clears the ball up field.

90th - Just the 1 minute of added time in the game, Liverpool have the ball and that could be that.

Full Time - The final whistle blows and what a game we have witnessed here! Leicester City will feel really hard done by today as they worked so very hard and some would argue deserved a point. The first half display let them down but with that formation change, they looked a different team.

Liverpool pick up another important victory, albeit a close shave. Suarez bagged a couple of goals for his tally and they know they will have to keep this up for the remainder of the campaign.

The Final score here is Leicester City 2 Liverpool 3.
