davieG Posted 16 January 2014 Share Posted 16 January 2014 Due to Nottingham Forest’s participation in the FA Cup with Budweiser, tickets for Leicester City’s trip to the City Ground won’t go on sale until after Billy Davies’ side learn their fate. Forest are set to take on Preston North End in the fourth round on 24 January at the City Ground after beating West Ham United, with the Foxes set to visit a few weeks later on 15 February. If the East Midlands side lose their tie with Preston, City’s 2,002 allocation could go on sale as early as 3 February, but the Club will confirm all sale details and dates in the coming weeks here on www.lcfc.com. Leicesterpool Posted 16 January 2014 Share Posted 16 January 2014 Sounds fair would be stupid to but them on sale now and Forest go on to progress to the next round.

Walshy5 Posted 16 January 2014 Share Posted 16 January 2014 Anyone know why they have reduced the away allocation from recent years? Apparently they've done the same with all visiting teams.

The owners are cvnts is the simple answer. I think it's a deliberate plan to cut the impact the away end has on the game.

The category limits change from game to game, until we know the categories for this game it's hard to say. How many points do you have?
Bayfox Posted 16 January 2014 Share Posted 16 January 2014 Well Bournemouth started on 13+ then went 10+ followed by 8+ so i would imagine this will follow a similar route. So when you say p3 are your talking no points or 5 points. Either way slim.

Jfox Posted 17 January 2014 Share Posted 17 January 2014 Forest have given this allocation to every away team all season (except cup) and have every right to do so due to football league rules stating that the away allocation must be a minimum of 2000 or 10% of the ground, whichever is lowest (hence why we only got 1300 for Bournemouth). We and most other teams in the league just choose to give more because of the way our ground is designed and to sell seats that would otherwise be empty. Forest can accommodate more than 2000 away fans without reducing the home attendance quite easily. The dozens (hundreds maybe) of games where the away team were given all of the lower Bridgford end (an allocation of 4000) proves this quite conclusively I think. Forest are deliberately limiting away allocations because the people who make these decisions are cvnts. If the rules allow them to do this then clearly the rules need changing. The point was that they are perfectly within their rights to give 2000 to away fans. They may not sell the other 2000 seats to the home fans most of the time but the majority of away teams wouldn't sell them either, so they have chosen to this year have season ticket holders (admittedly very few) in that part instead. It's bad news for teams like us and Derby who would sell the 4k, but probably better for them over the whole season.

Will have seven after birmingham away Unfortunately it'll probably be tough to get tickets then. If you're able to make midweek games you might have a decent chance if this gets moved which looks likely atm. I'll have enough points to get a ticket, it just depends when it gets played. Midweek games are impossible to get to for me.
