Realistic signings now we are up... (and some unrealistic ones)

Recommended Posts

I can't but reiterate what others have said before me.

Scott Sinclair would be more than just a decent signing to cover our slight left-winger issue.

If only we could negotiate wages with him and him willing to take a pay cut...

Or else, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is a hot prospect.

And who has heard of Pavel Yakovlev yet? His contract with Spartak Moscow is also running out in a few days time.

Urby Emanuelson is available on a free, as well - could ease our current left-back sorrows to a certain extent.

Alvarez Balanta looks quality and has the makings of being a world class defender.

That would be a real coup.

Agreed. If the quoted price of £6m is true, then we should definitely be in for him. Have heard that Juve are very interested though too, and we can't compete with them!

Looks like Vardy is off on loan to Shef Wed

Eh? Doubt it.

Didn't tear up any trees at West Brom.

For me..

If true that biscevic ( if spelt right)

Or if possible caulker/Hangaland witch I doubt)

Harry Maguire ( Maybe loaned to champ club)

Frazier Campbell

Crouch

Redmond

Medel.

Maybe Powell and a quick left winger on loan.

These would be a good base of players for survival of the fist season.

If Craig Dawson really is intent on leaving West Brom, then I think we should definitely be in for him. Him and Moore could be the future long-term CB pairing for this club.

21 games in 4 years you can see why he wants to leave the baggies considering they have just signed Lescott and have Olsson and McCauley in front of him. Dawson is a good prospect, would hate to see him go somewhere like Burnley.

Diego Poyet?

I was thinking about that this morning, he looked like he had bags of ability late last season and if he's half as good as his old man then he'd be quality. I can see him going to Sunderland but if not then get him here. He'd offer us something a bit different from the bench. Superb range of passing.

I would be willing to pay up to £10 million for Nathan Redmond, make a statement of intent and get one of the best prospects in English football.

Also, re Dawson, it isn't like we haven't looked at him before if we believe what some sources have told us so it isn't unconceivable it will happen.

Definitely a Nigel type player and with bags of potential.

Now NP has sorted his deal I am sure it won't be too long before we start seeing a few more incomings into our club - exciting times ahead!

I doubt that this has slowed down or stalled transfers at all, it seems that Pearson had given his transfer targets, and those out of contract are already signed.

The only thing it might help is that any player in talks now (Campbell) will know who they will be managed by at the start of the season.

Hull have bid £4m for Michael Dawson. Think he would be a quality signing if we could get him. Bags of experience and would tighten up our defence! Still think we prob need a younger cb though, so Craig Dawson as mentioned earlier might be a better option.

Leicester can use South Korea enforcer to provide midfield metal Han Kook-Young can fill a position of need for the newly promoted side

Han-Kook-Young-26-6-14.jpg

As Nigel Pearson scrawled his signature across a three-year contract extension at Leicester City, he could be forgiven for secretly thinking that, if he doesn’t act this summer, he may not get that long at the helm.

Now a Premier League boss having won the Championship with the Foxes, Pearson would be foolish not to pay any attention to the fate of promoted managers that have gone before him.

Such is the desperation to stay in the top-flight, a bad start to the season could see Leicester hit the ejector button on the manager’s seat, just like Crystal Palace and Cardiff did last term.

In order to avoid a skyward trip, Pearson must add to his squad this off-season, with central midfield an area in need of urgent attention having used just two players there for the majority of the Championship campaign.

Luckily for the 50-year-old, there’s a massive international tournament taking place that highlights the skills of players teams like Leicester may not have previously been aware of.

Also fortunate for the former defender is the fact that when South Korea face Belgium in the final action of Group H, a steely centre-circle dweller of the type Pearson requires will be on display.

Han Kook-Young is not a player that demands attention on the pitch, but is a vital cog in the South Korea wheel, performing the kind of role that every team needs but rarely pays scrutiny to.

Playing alongside Swansea’s Ki Seung-Yeung, a player who’s adapted well to Premier League life himself, Han harasses, tackles and intercepts opponents to allow his playing partner the license to roam forward.

The 24-year-old, who can be backed at 25/1 to be Whoscored.com’s highest rated player against Belgium, has performed those duties well for his nation at this World Cup, despite the side’s deflating showing so far.

The Kashiwa Reysol player has registered six tackles, two interceptions and five clearances in his two outings.
