David Guiza Posted 26 August 2014 Share Posted 26 August 2014 Both great results for both Forest and Derby over the weekend. Still so early on though, laughable how carried away both sets of fans get. You'd have thought the 2 time European Champions wouldn't be this excited over a few game decent run in the second tier of English football. At the end of the day only 2 teams can go up automatically, and then the play offs is no guarantee (as Derby proved last season) Bournemouth, Norwich and Watford in particular will probably have a say in that too. I think Norwich could be in line for an early return myself, made the Hornetts look stupid and Grabban is looking the real deal. Fancy Wolves for top six on current evidence as well. 9 points from the relegated prem teams in your opening 4 fixtures is a statement even if losing to Rotherham wasn't so great. This is the best it's been for the kids who follow Forest.
Danno Posted 26 August 2014 Share Posted 26 August 2014 Brighton signed Gardner and Bennett from Villa, plus that Texeira guy from liverpool, good signings for them. Hope they come up this season
Fox92 Posted 26 August 2014 Share Posted 26 August 2014 Hope Derby do Forest this weekend.... It's 14th September. Derby looked good on FL show. I'd have still preferred them to come up over QPR.
RedHux Posted 27 August 2014 Share Posted 27 August 2014 A bit early for this and a few of their fans think so to. http://www.forestforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=41994 The OP is not a Forest fan.
Mark_w Posted 27 August 2014 Share Posted 27 August 2014 Fulham Hadn't seen what they'd been up to! What fun it is to laugh at the lesser teams? You tell us.
Harry - LCFC Posted 27 August 2014 Share Posted 27 August 2014 You tell us. I suppose the extra status makes it easier to laugh this one off. That's the line I'll go with anyway.

Danno Posted 28 August 2014 Share Posted 28 August 2014 Needed to , the tumbleweed was getting lonely by itself.Bennett and Gardner are good signings for you. If Baldock is still as good as he was at west ham then he will be too, but haven't seen him play since then.

RowlattsFox Posted 28 August 2014 Share Posted 28 August 2014 The most obvious sacking ever? I even think hockaday only took the job knowing he'll get a pay off at some point. Surely only the desperate will go there now?
Fox92 Posted 28 August 2014 Share Posted 28 August 2014 Strange appointment in the first place. They looked poor yesterday at Bradford.
iamafox Posted 28 August 2014 Share Posted 28 August 2014 Managing Leeds is a poisoned chalice for anyone who takes the job, as long as clueless Cellino is still there.

Grey Fox Posted 28 August 2014 Share Posted 28 August 2014 Unsurprisingly Hockaday has been given the boot at Leeds. If they only give each mananger 4 games, they'll have another 10 by the end of the season. Crazy!

Danno Posted 28 August 2014 Share Posted 28 August 2014 I'm convinced that Hockaday was having a stadium tour of Elland road with his family but was inadvertently given the job
foxes_rule1978 Posted 29 August 2014 Share Posted 29 August 2014 Hockaday should never had the job in the first place, he struggled in non-league, was a very strange appointment so no surprise to see him sacked but what an idiot it makes Cellino look. If you appoint a guy you trust to do the job at least give him time to do it !
