lcfcsnow Posted 1 October 2014 Share Posted 1 October 2014 It's a miracle he's lasted this long, I'd be surprised if they improved without him though.. with Mills, Danns and Beckford it's hardly good for morale.

But Mills scored against Chelsea the other day so he's the best CB in the league???

Corky Posted 1 October 2014 Share Posted 1 October 2014 Who came out with that? Someone moaned that we gave Beckford to a promotion rival in Huddersfield a couple of years ago, the year they finished 19th. It probably happened again last season when Nige sent non-scoring Jermaine to Dougie's mob.

Guest ttfn Posted 1 October 2014 Share Posted 1 October 2014 As if Mark Davies doesn't get in that Bolton side. He's one of the best 5 players in that division. He's totally wasted his career there.

Manwell Pablo Posted 3 October 2014 Share Posted 3 October 2014 4-0 against Fulham is completely unforgivable. It's runs a bit deeper than just Beckford and Mills but I don't doubt they'll be the threads main focus, both could hold down a place in a play off chasing side if you ask me. They've both had purple patches in their careers, but nothing sustained of any sorts. They're not awful players, but where they are is about their level in my opinion. Although he almost certainly had a decent pay rise to join Bolton, it really has turned out to be an awful move when he left Palace.

We were a playoff chasing side and they were not good enough. Bar Beckfords stint at Leeds his scoring record isn't very good at all. The less said about Mills the better... Lamby Posted 3 October 2014 Share Posted 3 October 2014 Is this Charlton's longest ever unbeaten run? I've found out the answer for this. It was 12 in our L1 title winning season.

LanguedocFox Posted 3 October 2014 Share Posted 3 October 2014 I see Dougie Freedman got the bullet today. Enabling him to sit at home and think "Fookit, if I hadn't walked out on Palace, I would be managing in the Prem now." Serves him right.
