Dad was our first manager too (charnwood sunday league- not school football) We were terrible that first season to be fair. As he was my dad I helped him out by playing in literally every position on the pitch at some point throughout the season as he was constantly worrying from Saturday onwards who'd turn up, who to play where etc. We never had a keeper that first season There was huge controversy when I won mamagers player but dad was only trying to show the lads its not all about turning up and demanding to play in your favoured position and if not sulking.

I've not lived it down yet totally

I play every other week on the new pitches at St mags, really nice surface. On the large side for fives mind, that'd be hard work.
