What on the roads has annoyed you today?

I'll take that from someone who's probably taken advanced driving courses for driving your vehicle (don't say you haven't, even if you haven't lol)

But I will never block a road, or park dangerously.

I may block a driveway, but I'll make sure it's the driveway of the house I'm delivering to.

I ain't perfect, not pretending to be, but I ALWAYS have consideration for my peers on the road. As everyone should.

I have. We have to pass an advanced and emergency driving course before we could drive on blues and twos. And then had a re-assessment every 3 years so I guess I've done about 10 in my career. Doesn't make me perfect but hopefully a notch or two above most drivers.

I used to be a delivery driver and would often have to park on double yellows, especially in some of the major city centres. I’d obviously try to do it as safely as possible and as far as I’m aware if you’re unloading then you’re allowed to do so.

Cycling back home just now on my normal route down thurncourt rd and some skinheaded white bloke in a dark Audi or bm passes me and then pulls close to the left hand kerb and Carrie's on.

I think nowt of it.

Hes then parking up further down about 100 meteres and I get towards him, he then winds his window down and shouts " ****ing dickhead"  as I've gone passed!

No idea why, and couldn't  really be bothered to find out so just gave him the finger and rode on...strange people!!!

It's that time of year again where drivers seem to be completely oblivious to the need to use headlights as dusk descends. Sidelights only are bad enough. No lights at all, is irresponsible.

I cannot understand how a driver can't seem to recognise the failing light and that other cars have their lights on.

You don't get a charged extra on your leccy bill. Turn the feckers on.

Because lots of people are idiots. Who shouldn't be out, let alone driving.

Simpletons too busy listening to their iPhone music and singing along or geriatrics who simply have no awareness of anything on the road.

We were lucky enough to be driving through Italy a few weeks ago, and got caught in some of the worst fog I've ever seen. I know Italian's aren't known for being the best drivers, but none of them had any lights on, never mind their fogs! It was absolutely treacherous, yet they were all still doing 130kph with nearly zero visibility lol I'm laughing now, but it was actually pretty scary at the time, like you say, absolutely zero awareness of the conditions and the possible consequences

I don't get the idiots driving at night with no lights on at all, I mean surely they have at some point looked at their speedo etc?

The other month I saw a guy eating noodles with chopsticks whilst driving and last week a women trying to edge out of a side street holding a coffee and vape in the same hand out of the window.

A couple of weeks ago (and not for the first time) I saw someone driving with a dog sitting on their lap. How utterly irresponsible some drivers can be.

A few years ago, when I was in the ambulance, I pulled up at lights alongside a driver who had been a bit erratic. He was doing stuff on his laptop whilst driving. I had long enough to see that it was emails, not porn. :giggle:

And again... cyclists using the main road when there's a dedicated cycle lane right next to them. Why? Please explain. Surely, it's less risky and cycle lanes have no drains or access covers to negotiate. Seems to me to be a case "**** you, motorists, I'm using the road whether you like it or not. If you kill me, it's always gonna be your fault.

Because they can and yes, it would be be the motorists fault

Nice application of the “well you shouldn’t wear a short skirt then” logic by the way. lol

How do work that out. No-one is about to rape a cyclist dressed in lycra. Ridiculous comment.

Victim blaming - it’s not hard mate

How can the cyclist realistically be a victim if they aren't using the provision of a safe place for them to travel? Surely, they're at fault? It's like being given protective hard hats and not wearing them and getting a brick on the head.

It is a choice, they do not have to use them. In fact many cycle paths feature some element of pavements connectivity and feature endless dug up, broken and dangerous parts. Unlike roads which are well kept in comparison.

It nothing like your example, this is optional and if motorists cannot provide preference to cyclist on the road then they should not be driving to begin with as they clearly are not fit too

The majority of cycle lanes are covered in road flotsam, holes, cracks, sticks, thorns, and the blood of murder victims.

Unless it’s a brand new or well kept one, I have never used them. I’d rather get where I’m going and not worry about repairing three punctures every trip.

Plus, the unkept ones are not particularly safe. I can’t speak for Leicester, but round here they have been an afterthought.

Oh, and it’s legal to ride a bike on the road, so there’s that.

I nearly knocked a bloke off his bike just opening my pavement-side car door yesterday. Came from nowhere almost silently and had to swerve to miss my door as it swung fully open as I was getting in.

I nearly swore at him but held my tongue. My street is one way and I get cyclists riding up the "wrong" way along the paths all the time. Winds me up.
