Currently in Ontario, Canada. Around Rice Lake & Lake Ontario.

Been to some beautiful towns, been Kayaking, sampled a few local beers (local craft beers & IPAs are plentiful), great weather.

You definitely need a a car to get about. Off to see The Blue Jays in Toronto tomorrow.

we had the final leg of our Honeymoon here.  Mill Street Brewery is a decent afternoon if you have the spare time.

We got bored of the baseball after about an hour....  decent atmosphere, but the sport is absolute Muck.

Coming home for a couple of weeks end of July. Wife and kids are going to see her sister before that. That will be the first time they are holidaying without me! To much work to do though.

Booked the boy in for a day football camp with LCFC that will be fun. While he's away with the wife he'll have a whole weeks camp too.

Have a great time, it’s a great city.

You were right. Paris was great and it was better than I thought it would be. Can't wait to go again.

Off to San Francisco & Sacramento next week.

Apart from the obvious landmarks to visit can anyone advise on their positive experiences in N. California please.

I've just come off the US Gun violence thread & need cheering up.

Not booked anything yet. We did an all inclusive last year in Majorca and whilst not everyone's cup of tea it was ideal for them. Food and drink on tap.

Looking for something similar this year but a different country. Anywhere people would recommend or not? Don't fancy Turkey.

A lovely City Architecturally, Though not very suitable for Children.

We went years ago and left after 3 days as I hurridly picked somewhere else to go.

We picked Lake Tahoe. Which was a beautiful drive through Napa Valley the wine region of California.

What a beautiful place to visit Lake Tahoe and stay. We planned to stay for a week but stayed ten Days

And everyone was very sad about leaving. But we had planned to finish the Holiday with a week in Las Vegas. So had to move on.

We drove across the Sierra Nevadas mountain range and into Yosemite National Park and stopping in a the old gold minig town of Senora for a couple of nights. Where I got the biggest Breakfast I've ever been served in my life.

We then drove through Death Valley which was very Scary, 210 miles across. Stopping off at Zebrisky point. Ranger Station.

One of the most spectacular kaleidoscope of Colours Icreated by the Sun and the Sand in a valley, 've seen anywhere.

With Temperatures of 133 F Degrees. The Day we were their in September. You could only get out of the Car a couple of Minutes.

Then we continued onto Las Vegas and toured the Hoover Dam while there.

Vegas was only ok. Glad I seen it but I wouldn't rush back. Too hot for us. But the Casinos were huge and food very cheap as that's how they lure a lot of people in.

Still one of my best ever Holidays with Lake Tahoe being the best part. I could tell a lot more stories but I'd be typing half of the night.

Enjoy your trip, and let us know how you get on.

Girlfriend very keen on Egypt, problem is... Egypt ain't country that appeals to me. I'm hoping her mate will save the day offer to take her on a girls holiday. Anyone here done Egypt?

I had the same thoughts and loved every minute of it.

That being said, Egypt itself is a bit nothing, but the red sea is just unreal. Most hotels have their own snorkelling reef as part of the facilities and the wildlife is amazing.

Several times, only the Sharm region. Always been my destination of choice for a mid-winter sunshine break, well priced for very good hotels. The old towns and souks are worth a wander, although probably only once. The snorkelling or diving is amazing.

Spending a week in Berwick. First time in that part of the UK, any particular highlights?

Remember Seahouses being nice. Bamburgh, Alnwick and Warkworth castles aren't too far (relatively speaking) either.

Show her the news about a tourist getting eaten by a shark today. May change her mind.

I found Egypt a bit of a mixed bag really.

The temples/tombs were just out of this world and blew my mind - it was worth going just to see them alone.

On the downside, every time we stepped off the boat or outside the hotel we were badgered by someone was trying to sell us something which got a bit tedious after a while.

And it was far too hot for me. 40+ degrees every day was unbearable so make sure you don't go at high season unless you like being fried.
