Woolridge only played three Football League games for the Foxes in the early 1900s, having joined the club at the turn of the century after impressing in initial trials.
He caught the attention of Fosse whilst at first club Hanley Swifts but was used mainly as back-up to the first team. He played outside-left and made his debut in an away game against Small Heath. In fact, all three of his Fosse matches came away from home and he never managed to play a game for the club on home soil.
After his brief stint with Leicester he moved on to play for Stafford Rangers for a year before returning to his maiden club Hanley.
