Kerr’s stay at Filbert Street was short but sweet, notching a brace of goals in four starts and three substitute appearances on a loan stint from Port Vale as Brian Little added more attacking options to his bid for a play-off finish.
David Lowe moved in the other direction on deadline day, having an equally-successful loan stint with five goals as Vale enjoyed promotion from the division below.
Portsmouth-born Kerr started his career with Aston Villa before moving on to Middlesbrough, where he played alongside Little, the man who brought him to City. A move to Millwall followed before he ended up at Vale. Ironically, Kerr made both debuts with Villa and Millwall at Filbert Street.
He returned to Vale, with no permanent Foxes switch forthcoming, and went on to play for Wycombe Wanderers, Waterlooville and Whitby Town.
